Teenage Hangs Herself During Vivid Dream, Thought Her Flat Was Haunted By Previous Tenant

A teenager may have hanged herself while sleepwalking after becoming ‘spooked’ by stories of a recent suicide in her flat, an inquest heard. Carissa Glenn, 18, told her family she was having repeated nightmares about a woman who had apparently hanged herself in the rented apartment.Miss Glen, who had a history of sleepwalking episodes in which she acted out her dreams, was found dead after hanging herself in her bathroom in the middle of the night.A coroner returned an open verdict because it was unclear whether she had deliberately hanged herself or did so accidentally in her sleep.Yesterday, her mother Lusia Glenn, 59, said: ‘We think she was in a semi-conscious, dream-like state when it happened.‘Carissa had heard rumours of a woman who hanged herself in the flat and it really got to her. She started saying she could feel her presence or sense her.’The teacher added: ‘She would never do anything like this on purpose. She must have sleepwalked and acted out her dream – she used to all the time.‘She began having dreams about this woman. She told me she was so spooked by it that she hated going back to her flat at night.’ Miss Glenn moved from her home in Leeds to St Ives, Cornwall, after finishing her A-levels to be with friends she had met on family holidays. She moved into the flat but soon after was told a previous female tenant had hanged herself there – a claim police later found to be untrue. The week before she died in April, she rang her family three times complaining of a ‘presence’ in her flat, where she is thought to have lived alone. Her family had pleaded with her to return home, and said they would pay any outstanding rent on the property. Her sister Lara said: ‘She was always spooked by the supernatural.‘She believed there was a presence in the flat and would mention it two or three times a week. She was always talking about her dreams, they were vivid. She must have been asleep or half-conscious when she died.’An inquest in Truro heard she was a ‘happy young woman’ who was popular with staff at the Sloop Inn where she worked as a barmaid. The day before she died she worked a shift, had several drinks with friends and left in the early hours of the morning. When she failed to turn up at the pub the next day, workmates broke into her flat and found her body.A post-mortem examination showed the talented musician, who wanted to become a police officer, had twice the drink-drive limit of alcohol in her blood.Deputy assistant coroner Dr Peter Blackwell-Smythe said: ‘There was concern about a local rumour that someone had hanged themselves in the flat where she was living. And then there was the matter of her vivid nightmares, which were a disturbancefor her.‘It appears she was a happy young woman who was vivacious. I appreciate concerns about her sleepwalking and her nightmares.‘It would be reasonable to leave the verdict open, although I believe the evidence strongly suggests she did take her own life.’The court also heard that she had been upset by the death of a friend and learning that her ex-boyfriend was to marry.A family statement read: ‘She was a strikingly beautiful girl, intelligent and vivacious with everything to live for.‘Many who love her and feel very close to her are still shocked and mystified by her sudden death. None who knew her will ever forget her.’

Arizona Man's Paranormal Past Led To Ghost Hunting
Frank Madrid has always experienced the unnatural. Not the kind of unnatural such as fleeting shadows or a mysterious figure seen out of the corner of an eye. He has experienced the waking-up-with-hands-tied unnatural, the black-shape-rushing-through-me unnatural. So the fact he has become a ghost hunter is the most natural thing that's happened.Madrid's fascination with the paranormal, going back to those weird things that happened to him as a child, would eventually manifest itself in the Arizona Paranormal Society. The group, which he formed in 2006 with girlfriend Lori Marshall, now has 24 members who rotate among the 30 or so investigations they conduct each year.In most cases, the society is contacted by a concerned home or business owner who is experiencing ghostly visits, from unearthly sounds to apparitions to (in rare cases) the manipulation of objects. After a screening process involving questionnaires and interviews, Madrid decides whether an on-site investigation is necessary. As at the Triangle T Ranch, as many as 10 investigators arrive with tools of the trade. Their work keeps them busy for hours, with members usually not packing up until 2 or 3 a.m.Business is picking up, Madrid said (the society does not charge for investigations)."We've been really busy these last few months, and we're booked all through October," he said. "I think people are more open to the paranormal now than ever before, and they want to know what's going on."In 80 percent of cases, Madrid said, what is going on is completely normal. A settling house causes thumps and creaks. Drafts can close doors and set rocking chairs in motion. And a bad mix of medication can result in "paranormal" infestations.Spirits typically linger for several reasons, Madrid said. Frequently, they were the victim of sudden or traumatic death. Some stay to pass on a message to loved ones. Others refuse to move on, to postpone eternal judgment. And sometimes, they simply don't realize they're dead.

Animation of UFONote: This sighting is reported by William Puckett (MUFON UFO Investigator) who received this report via phone call from the primary witness: I talked to both witnesses and they reported the sighting one week after it happened. They stated that they were driving north-northeast on Highway 281 just south-southwest of the Hamilton, Texas Airport. They noticed four very large orange lights in a horizontal line. Each light was about 50% the size of a full moon. The lights were at high angle, but then all blinked out and then reappeared at a lower angle. The lights then blinked out and reappeared a lower angle, but only one light reappeared. This light then gradually dimmed and disappeared. The witnesses stated that the lights were seen outside the driver's side window (northwest). The witness stopped his car and viewed the lights before they disappeared. No sound was heard. The witness got out his camera, but the lights disappeared before he could take a photo. William Puckett Comments: Several sightings of similar lights (object) were seen in this area of Texas on October 23 and again on October 25. The identity of these sightings is unexplained. Apparently the military was conducting exercises in the nearby Brownfield Operation Area on the evening of October 23. This investigation is in progress.

Lancaster County, PA Inn Awaits Results of Paranormal Probe

Terri Brown and her husband have owned the 18th-century Farmers Hope Inn for five years. The ghosts arrived much later.Early last month, a merchandising representative stopped at the inn a quarter-mile north of the turnpike on Route 72, right at the Lancaster County line, and asked Brown a question. “Do you realize you’re haunted?” Brown said the woman asked her. “She sees (ghosts) like she sees you and me.” A couple days later, Christine Barnhart, who works as a server, told Brown she saw a lady on a stairwell of the red sandstone tavern. That confirmed what a ghost hunter had told Brown a couple years earlier. The day after Barnhart saw the lady on the steps, a visitor from the nearby Renaissance Faire said she saw faces in the Inn, as well as the popular stairwell lady. With all this spookiness suddenly manifesting itself, Brown thought it might be a good idea to find out if there was any way of trying to prove what was happening. She contacted the Greater Pittsburgh Paranormal Society, which sent two representatives to the inn three weeks ago. They will return today and tomorrow to share their findings with anyone who wants to hear them. Brown will tell her ghost tales — and show some ghostly photos — at 6 and 8 p.m. both days. “I never had issues with the spirit world,” Brown said. “This is mind-blowing.” The first structure at the inn was built about 1770 and — wouldn’t you know — one of the 11 ghosts reported on the premises is a Revolutionary War soldier. “Its secrets are trying to be revealed,” Brown said of the inn. “It’s trying to tell some stories.” Brown said she understands skeptics will want to see proof, and she’s expecting the visitors from Pittsburgh will provide some. “The paranormals were out here October 11-12,” she said. “They wanted to come back and spend Halloween. They can answer questions.” Tim Brown said he and his wife don’t know what those answers will be. “They won’t tell us what they found,” he said, “but they found something.” Those investigators use voice recordings and heat sensors to verify the presence of the otherworldly. “If I wasn’t living this, I wouldn’t believe it,” said Terri, who added that some unusual activities have been taking place around the inn in recent days, which she’ll detail tonight and tomorrow. “It’s enough to give me, as a skeptic, goose bumps,” Tim said.

Queen's Park Haunted By Former Ontario Politicians

Just call it a haunting experience. The chills start when you descend through the clutter and junk into the damp vault. Something invisible hangs in the air. You expect a clawlike skeletal hand to reach out and tap you on the shoulder. It sends shivers down your spine. We're in the "vaults" at Queen's Park -- a sinister and little known part of the building -- definitely not on the itinerary for tourists. My guide is Speaker Steve Peters. He has his own apartment in this 115-year-old rambling neo-gothic building and knows most of its nooks and crannies. This being the season of ghosties, ghoulies and things that go bump in the night, he's giving me and Sun photographer Ernest Doroszuk a tour of these hallowed, haunted halls. There are reportedly four -- and maybe five -- spirit inhabitants. Deep in the bowels of the building, the vaults are ground zero for wraiths. This was once the place where movies were stored before they were screened by provincial censors, but it's not porn ghosts or forbidden movie sex romps that haunt the place. This is where an asylum for psychiatric patients was located, before it was demolished to make way for the Legislative building. The hauntings go back to that time, says Peters. "One of these stories is that of the three women ghosts, one of them has supposedly been witnessed in this area, out in the hallway, hanging on a coat hook," he explains. "We have no real physical evidence, but for many people it is synonymous with the early days of the asylum and the three women ghosts who are reputedly inhabiting us here at Queen's Park," he explained.Three women -- former inmates -- are said to haunt the building. One of them has long white hair, while another has a checked dress thrown over her head. A third hanged herself in the basement. The most recent ghost sighting was in the Lieutenant Governor's suite. There were two independent sightings of that spectre. In 2006, an aide to then Lt.-Gov. James Bartleman saw a man leave the vice-regal washroom, walk past a reception desk and into the historic Music Room. What makes the sighting all the spookier is that months later, a cleaner -- who speaks very little English and was unaware of the earlier sighting -- saw a man in a swallow-tail suit in the same part of the L-G's suite. The cleaner was able to identify the ghost from one of many portraits of former lieutenant governors that hang in the suite, although the Lt.-Gov's office has been reluctant to identify which one. The vice-regal suite is currently under renovation, but Peters was able to sneak us in for a brief glimpse. Our footsteps echoed eerily through the vast elegant emptiness. Peters points out these rooms were not originally occupied by the Lt.Gov. In 1937, former premier Mitch Hepburn sold Government House -- also known as Chorley Park-- and the Lt.Gov took over these rooms which had previously been used by the Speaker. The Speaker moved to an apartment one floor up. "The most recent ghost sighting was within the quarters of the Lt.-Gov's suite and reference was made that it was a man dressed in red," points out Peters. And that, he says, ties in with another ghost legend around here. A military man in red is said to haunt the main staircase. He has appeared several times, scowling and frowning. "We are not sure of the origins of the individual, but there have been a number of reported sightings of this soldier, dressed in red, coming down the main staircase here," says Peters. Many of the portraits of former Lt.-Govs. depict individuals dressed in red uniforms, points out the MPP for Elgin-Middlesex-London. Staff who've been around here a long time are familiar with the stories. A surprising number of them have encountered the ghosts of Queen's Park -- although they are reluctant to talk on the record about the apparitions.

Paranormal Society Investigates Frederick, MD Museum

The sound of footsteps clomping down the wooden staircase echoed throughout the basement of the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum.Paranormal investigators Darryl Keller and Stewart Cornelius crept around the corner, video cameras and tape recorders in hand, only to find no sign of who — or what — had made the noise. It was just another night on the job for Keller and Cornelius, co-founders of Mason Dixon Paranormal Society. Established nearly three years ago, MDPS is based in the Gettysburg area and investigates paranormal activity in over 40 businesses and homes a year."We go out to find the most logical, most scientific explanation of why somebody would think their place is haunted," Cornelius said. "So we go out to try to debunk, or disprove."Keller said that about 70 percent of the time, MDPS can disprove a haunting, citing plumbing problems or high electromagnetic fields, which can cause hallucinations, as explanations for paranormal activity. But the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum is a different story.Keller and Cornelius agree that Schifferstadt has a substantial number of unexplainable happenings, such as the disembodied footsteps they heard on Saturday night, or a chair that appeared to have moved by itself."It does have paranormal activity," Cornelius said. This weekend, MDPS spent two nights investigating Schifferstadt, the 250-year-old former home of German settlers. But unlike most of its investigations, MDPS opened the event to the public for a fee to benefit the museum. Attendees got a chance to use high-tech equipment to capture evidence of the house's strange happenings.Liz Lipke, Schifferstadt's former director and co-host of the museum's Spirit Tours, believes the investigation is a great idea."It definitely does help with fundraising and it brings people to the house," she said.Juan Aldape, one of 15 people who attended, said he bought a new camera for the occasion. "It's exciting," he said. "I would like to capture a good photo."This was the second time Aldape and his wife, Sherri, participated in an MDPS investigation.Keith and Sherri Bell and their daughters, Valerie, 11, and Stephanie, 14, were thrilled to check out Schifferstadt, and said they were not scared. The family watches "Ghost Hunters," a popular Sci-Fi Channel show that features a team of paranormal investigators from New England, Sherri said. This weekend was not the first time MDPS has had a crack at the Schifferstadt. The group held a private investigation in July and recorded about 100 electronic voice phenomena — the term for sound picked up by a tape recorder but inaudible to the human ear and thought to be paranormal, Cornelius explained."We try to find the best evidence — something that is clear that we can present to the client," Cornelius said. "We don't pull out every little crack and creak that we hear."Digital tape recorders are just one of the devices MDPS used Saturday. The group was also equipped with a thermal imaging camera that captures temperature differences, digital video cameras, and devices to measure electro-magnetic fields. The event began with a museum tour and an overview of the equipment. The investigators broke the attendees into groups, each assigned to a particular part of the house. Then the lights were turned out, and the investigation began.Because MDPS recorded hours of video and sound, it will take several days for the group to compile its findings and present them to the museum staff, Keller said. And that does not guarantee they will catch anything, Cornelius said."Spirits don't work on a schedule."

Resurrection of frozen extinct animals, such as woolly mammoths, could be a step closer to reality, with scientists cloning mice from the brain cells of dead mice which had been in a deep freeze for more than a decade. The cloned mice were able to reproduce normally and have healthy babies. It had been thought this approach would not work with frozen animals, because ice crystals in their cells would have damaged their DNA.But a Japanese team of researchers, led by Teruhiko Wakayama of the RIKEN research institute in Kobe, developed techniques to get around this problem, producing clones from mice which had been kept at -20 degrees for 16 years. No special chemicals had been added to the mice to cryopreserve them, a situation which would also apply to animals frozen in the wild, such as mammoths trapped in the permafrost.Dr Wakayama said this meant his team's success "offers a distinct chance to resurrect extinct animals or preserve endangered species".But he cautioned that before an extinct animal could be cloned, the difficulties of using eggs and a surrogate mother from a related living animal would have to be overcome. The dean of science at the University of NSW, Professor Mike Archer, said it was a "very exciting" development, if confirmed. The results, which are published in the journal Proceedings Of The National Academy of Sciences, would give hope to other teams, including his own, who were convinced it would eventually be possible to clone extinct species, including the Tasmanian tiger, or thylacine, despite the extreme difficulties.Bringing back animals that humans had driven to extinction was an ethical issue, Professor Archer said. "We have a moral imperative to do that if the technology allows us."But the director of the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA at the University of Adelaide, Alan Cooper, said he was sceptical that Dr Wakayama's team had achieved what they claimed. "It could be right, but I'm highly suspicious. It is very hard to believe the DNA would be intact enough."Professor Cooper said the Japanese team had had to use a lengthy process to get the cloned mice, which could have introduced contamination.Dr Wakayama's team took the DNA-containing nuclei from the brain cells of the frozen mice and injected them into empty mice eggs, to produce cloned embryos from which they extracted embryonic stem cells. They then used these cells and more eggs to produce cloned embryos that grew into mice in a surrogate mother. In a separate development, Dr Wakayama's team also created live mice by injecting dead sperm into mice eggs.

Extraterrestrials Blamed For Power Outage in Chorley, Lancashire

Aliens are being blamed for a massive power cut which affected more than 14,000 people in Chorley.Last week, thousands of homes and businesses across the borough were left in semi-darkness when two primary sub stations lost power for several minutes.John Szwarc, of Greenside, Euxton, was travelling along Runshaw Lane in his car at the time of the blackout and says he saw two strange objects flying across the sky.He said: "There were two UFOs. The main one was a huge bright cross which shone with a brilliant silver colour, although my wife thought that it was more a gold colour."There was also a small globe or circular object close to it composed of the same uncanny brilliance."Both were static in the daylight sky and both disappeared at exactly the same moment. I am aware that electrical power cuts have been associated with UFO activity in the past."He added: "The cross was very big and very imposing and altogether weird looking."It didn't last very long, perhaps just a few seconds before it went, but it was long enough for us to realise that what we were seeing was quite alien to the sky."It certainly wasn't space debris or anything like that."United Utilities confirmed the power cut but said they did not detect any signs of extraterrestrial involvement.A company spokesman said: "There was a fault on a cable in a sub station. There can be a number of reasons for such a fault but we didn't find any aliens."And we have never had any reports of faults being caused by unidentified flying objects."A spokesperson for the MoD said: "No reports of aliens or UFO sightings have come across my desk but you can be sure we will be on the lookout in future."The sighting has now been reported to the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA), which is based in London, for further investigation.

Edmonton Murder Suspect Accused of Producing a 'Practice Run' Film of Killing

An Alberta film producer accused of the death of a missing man made a movie that police allege was a practice run for the real murder.Mark Andrew Twitchell, 29, of St. Albert, Alta., has been charged with the first-degree murder of Johnny Brian Altinger, 38, who was last seen Oct. 10. Twitchell is scheduled to make his first appearance in court today. The 29-year-old fervid fan of the psycho-slasher TV show Dexter is accused of luring now-missing Johnny Altinger to a garage and killing him in a scenario that resembled Twitchell's latest film project – in which a man is abducted, tortured, and hacked to bits."We have a lot of information to suggest he definitely idolizes Dexter and a lot of information that he tried to emulate him during this incident," said Edmonton police homicide Det. Mark Anstey. "It was definitely planned. He put a lot of thought, a lot of work, into it."Police say Altinger, a 38-year-old motorcycle enthusiast who came to Edmonton a decade ago to work in the oil and gas industry, recently met a girl online. On Oct. 10 he went to meet her at a southside detached residential double garage, where Twitchell recently filmed a movie.Altinger hasn't been seen since, but police believe that even without a body, they have enough evidence to lay a charge."The movie was about luring a male from a dating Internet site and basically killing the male in the garage and chopping up his body parts and getting rid of the body," said Anstey. The garage was rented separately from the house. Neighbor Lynda Warren said she and her husband Mike noticed that someone seemed to be filming in the garage in late September. But the windows, she said, were covered with black plastic and boards, so they couldn't be certain.Police believe Twitchell acted alone and didn't know Altinger. In Twitchell's movie, the victim was forced to reveal personal banking information and passwords for his social network sites.Shortly after Altinger's disappearance, he appeared to send friends an email message saying: "I've met an extraordinary woman named Jen who has offered to take me on a nice, long tropical vacation. We'll be staying in her winter home in Costa Rica."It said he wouldn't be back until December. Friends said it didn't sound like the normally reserved man they knew and Anstey agreed."It definitely was not Mr. Altinger."Twitchell has a Facebook site on which he detailed some of his filmmaking activities. In August, he referred to himself in the third person, saying: "Mark has way too much in common with Dexter Morgan."Dexter is a fictional character from a series of novels and the protagonist in a TV series of the same name, who works for the Miami Metro Police Department while moonlighting as a serial killer.Twitchell has been working on the fringes of the movie business as an independent director and producer. "The world is getting bigger and so is my influence on it," the father of two tells readers on his MySpace social networking site."My lifeblood is filmmaking," he adds. "I'm hooked.""My other passion in my life is my beautiful wife Jess. I've never been so in love in my life."The film Star Wars was core to his work. He had been finishing post-production on a low-budget tribute movie titled Star Wars: Secrets of the Rebellion. On his blogsite, he said it was his life's calling to fix what he said Star Wars' creator George Lucas had ruined by focusing on special effects over storyline."I was born to do this and every turn I've taken on the path to life has led me to this," he wrote. Police also want to talk to a man who may have been lured to the garage a week before Altinger on the same premise of an online date. Two area residents saw a man running from the garage on Oct. 3, eluding a pursuer who was wearing a black and gold goalie mask. In late August, Twitchell posted a Facebook request for actors to work for free on a mystery thriller short, House of Cards, set to shoot over the last weekend of September – just days before the first alleged victim was seen running away.

Bell Witch Story: Missing Grave Marker Returns After 40 Years

The latest chapter of Middle Tennessee's famed Bell Witch story could be titled "The Tale of the Homesick Headstone."It begins in 1860, when the 22-year-old great-granddaughter of John Bell died and was buried in the family cemetery, her rest undisturbed until the headstone disappeared about a century later. It ends earlier this month, when the missing marker turned up in Nashville, upside down and broken in two."The stone was found in Madison," said Tim Henson, a local historian and curator of the Adams Museum in the Robertson County town. "It was used as a stepping stone in someone's yard for at least 41 years."Now the marker is in its rightful place. Getting it there had its spooky moments, which seems fitting for a member of the family at the center of one of the South's most celebrated ghost stories.Story begins in 1817In 1817, an angry spirit took up residence on the Bell farm in Adams, about an hour's drive northwest of Nashville. Some people identified her as Kate Batts, an eccentric woman who believed John Bell had cheated her in a land deal. She tormented the family, slapping, pinching and pulling the children's hair. She sang hymns, preached and plagued their father, who fell into recurring bouts of illness until he died in December 1820, a terrible smell on his lips and a mysterious bottle of black liquid nearby. The tale has been the subject of books and movies, including An American Haunting (2006). And townspeople and tourists say Kate still haunts today, throwing salad spoons and blue balls in the air.The supernatural Bell mystique may extend to the headstone of Mary Allen Bell Coke, if the story its finder tells is any indication. The marker had made its way to a trash bin in Madison, where a homeowner found it years ago and added it to the lawn."A contractor from Springfield, working on that house, brought it home," Henson said. The contractor, Janie Hudgens, was intrigued and went online to research the dead woman. That led to funeral director and Bell descendant Bob Bell in Springfield, who called Henson.Hudgens said that after she and husband Sparky found the stone, she made it her mission to find out where it came from."I'm from Alabama, and we respect the dead there," Hudgens said."When we found the headstone, that bothered me. For three nights straight, I was on the computer till 3 or 4 in the morning looking for where the tombstone belonged."The night before they were to give Henson the marker, they were in bed with the room dark when the screen came to life, static crossing its screen. Not long after she turned it off, "it came on again, and it was on the page about the Bell family."Then there was the wind, which she said "blew the deadbolt-locked door open."As she told Henson, "I think this stone wants to get home."Henson recently took it to the cemetery and placed it on the grave, but that was just for a brief visit. It'll remain in storage until it can be safely and securely displayed."We just want to place it back in the Bell cemetery that it belongs in," he said. "We know within a foot or two where it's supposed to go. We want to put it back so that it can't be taken away again."

What did the Vela 6911 Detect?

On September 22, 1979 an aging satellite named Vela 6911 detected two very distinct flashes in the vicinity of the Indian or South Atlantic oceans that supposedly could be only one thing: a nuclear detonation. The Carter administration held an emergency meeting, other satellites were enlisted to see if they saw the detonation, which they did not, and utter pandemonium ensued for a short time as the US government scrambled to see who or what had set off a nuclear weapon that day. It was a small explosion, estimated at only three kilotons, and while the Soviets, Chinese, French and British are unlikely as the originators, the finger was tentatively pointed at Israel or South Africa for testing a weapon. Problem is, the whole thing made no sense. The first problem was that no other satellites had detected the detonation, even though at least three were capable of it, if not more. It might have ended there, a very scary and potentially dangerous malfunction caused a false alarm. But it didn't. Astronomers working at the Arecibo radio telescope in Puerto Rico detected an atmospheric shockwave that could have been linked to a nuclear explosion. The US government’s hydrophone network detected a very clear echo of a large explosion. But the one piece of foolproof evidence was never found: radiation. Dozens of flights were conducted to try to detect fallout, and none was ever found, though extremely low levels of a certain radioactive element might have been detected in Australia, some time later. The blast remains a secret to this day, despite South Africa having given up all nuclear weaponry and testing decades ago. If they did it, they still aren’t saying, even though they have no motivation to keep quiet after all this time. Only if it involved Israel would it be worth keeping secret still. It couldn't have been a natural phenomena, meteorites do not make double flashes of light characteristic of a nuclear explosion. But given that all parties that may or may not have been involved state it wasn't theirs, and the fact that radiation fallout was never confirmed, tends to point to something else.Exploding UFO’s have been brought up as a cause of anomalous atmospheric detonations for some time. Tunguska, most famously, was suspected by some in the UFO community as just such a thing. While no detonation was seen before the Roswell crash, its easily possible that nothing was around capable of detecting it at the time. Could an alien spacecraft have exploded over the Indian Ocean in 1979? Its not likely we’ll ever know. The facts surrounding the event to this day do not add up, and any potential players in the nuclear arena remain tight-lipped. Most likely, Israel tested a nuclear weapon, but how it managed to not produce detected fallout is a mystery. Could it have been a UFO? Someone in government knows, but they aren’t going to say. Random detonations that look like nuclear weapons, cause international incidents, and could have been misconstrued by jittery cold war powers are something you tend to keep secret.

Video: Pink and Green UFO Over United Kingdom - Nov. 1, 2008

In August of 2006, I was working in Northern California and was interested in finding bigfoot prints. I have a friend who is a member of the Hoopa First Nation. I contacted him and then spoke to an elder. I was taken to an area where some footprints had just been found. Being skeptical, I took my right boot off and stepped down next to the foot print. I am 7' 1" tall and weigh 395 pounds and wear a size 17 street shoe or a size 19 boot (as boot sizes are often mislabelled). I am of Scot and Lakota Sioux lineage and speak a number of First Nation languages. After putting on my boots, we heard a screaming howl. My friends started saying Oh-mah was coming and we had to leave. My friend Dave told his elder about what I had done and we went back to the site three hours later. There were numerous large footprints surrounding mine and what I believe to be a large finger hole in the middle of my footprint.I was contacted a couple of weeks later and invited back to the reservation as they normally lose a good portion of their apple crop to Oh-mah but in 2006 they didn't lose anything. They wanted to know if I could come back every year and walk around barefoot to intimidate Oh-mah and if I have any big friends my size.Oh-mah either saw me with the much shorter native indians and thought I was another Oh-mah or recognized the footprint as a threat. The elder thought Oh-mah didn't want a confrontation with something almost as big as he and left the area. The Oh-mah footprint was the same length as mine but an inch and half wider at the ball and 3/4 of an inch wider at the heel. The depth of the print was the same.I have spoken with some so-called experts from the BFRO and from the Bigfoot Discovery Project and got laughed at but then they wanted me to come with them and speak to the bigfoot via bull horn in either native language. I rather not be used by someone who is too narrow minded for me to speak to the kononpaiochis (literally the people of the north who don't comb their hair -- bigfoot).Sincerely yours,Don Talks With Owl CampbellNote: I have been told that the native tribes in this area (Hupa and Yurok) both use the name 'Omah' or 'Oh-mah' translated as 'boss of the woods'.

Paranormal Presentation at Auburn University Chapel

UPC presented Darren Thompson, who spoke to students about his past experiences as a professional ghost hunter Oct. 30. Ashley Sisk, director of special projects for UPC, said she got the idea from the University of Alabama. Thompson is the president of the Washington State Paranormal Investigations and Research (WSPIR), which was founded in 2005 and has 60 members. Thompson began with a PowerPoint, highlighting some of his past ghost hunts and paranormal sightings. He then led students on a ghost hunt through the historic University Chapel. The Auburn University Chapel is one of the oldest buildings on campus and once served as a Civil War hospital for wounded soldiers. Thompson’s presentation included videos, photos and audio of the scariest locations he has visited. Thompson uses several devices to record paranormal activity. “The EMI meter picks up on electromagnetic energy and is thought to record when ghosts interact,” Thompson said. Thompson mentioned his stay at the Castle Inn, a bed and breakfast located in New Orleans. “The top floor was closed, and we heard furniture moving above us,” Thompson said. “When we checked it out, all the mattresses had been stuffed in one room.” “Starvation Heights,” in Olla, Wash., was another one of Thompson’s visits. Here Linda Hazzard, a doctor in 1911, cured people through starvation. More than 30 people were believed to have died under her “care.” “We pulled up to the house, and two of our crew members were talking,” Thompson said. “When we played back the tape, you could hear someone saying ‘help me’ but no one heard it before that.” Auburn graduate student Jonathan Lucas commented on his experience with the paranormal. “My wife and I moved into a new house in Birmingham, and on three separate occasions I saw an old woman with long hair,” Lucas said. “I believe that spirits do live among us.” Freshman Bethany Burke disagrees. “No, I don’t really believe in ghosts,” Burke said. “I feel like if you are in the mindset that you are going to see something already like ghost hunters are, you probably will.”

An unidentified flying object has been photographed over Filton.Taxi driver Paul Matthews spotted the object in the air near the Royal Mail depot on 2pm on Friday afternoon soon after he had driven into the Airbus site.He quickly pulled over his car and watched as what he described as a disc-shaped object hovered in the air before disappearing as swiftly as it had appeared. Now the Bristol Evening Post is calling on readers who believe they know what the object is to get in touch.Mr Matthews said that at first he thought it was an aeroplane, microlite or parachute, but it wasn't behaving like anything he had seen before. It was very weird. It was so strange. I have been a lorry driver in my time and seen some strange things, but this is something else," said Mr Matthews, 45, from Patchway."I had never ever seen something like this before. I was really surprised how other people had not noticed it. I thought they would be stopping in their droves, but that was not the case at all."Denis Plunkett of Winterbourne, who runs the British Flying Saucer Bureau, believed Mr Matthews' sighting was just the latest in a series of visits by aliens to Earth.Mr Plunkett said: "They come in all shapes and sizes, mainly disc-shaped but in the upper atmosphere also cigar-shaped – the so-called motherships."When they get in the upper atmosphere, they discharge the smaller ones that are used for surveillance."We have had quite a few UFO sightings in the last few months, in Cardiff for example when one almost crashed into a police helicopter."Before that, it was seen over Kingswood and the Suspension Bridge before heading to Wales."Former RAF pilot Mr Plunkett, 77, added: "I'm not surprised this UFO was spotted over somewhere like Patchway because quite often they visit airports like Filton. They visit anything to do with the air because they want to know the infrastructure of the planet. What they are obviously doing is surveying and collecting information

'Ghost Hunters' Will Investigate Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, Colorado

If there are any spirits hanging out at the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, they may want to head south for the winter. The 130-year-old mansion, now a restaurant, was one of three finalists for the Sci Fi Channel's "Great American Ghost Hunt." The finalists told their tales on Halloween night during a live investigation of Fort Delaware by the cable channel's "Ghost Hunters" program, with the winner getting a full investigation by the "Ghost Hunters" team.On Wednesday's results episode of the show, head ghost hunters Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes announced they will investigate all three finalists."I get to start telling people all the ghost stories that we have," said Tammila Wright, a local historian who nominated the restaurant for the search. "We're pretty excited."Wright and her husband, Erick, traveled to Fort Delaware to make the case for the Briarhurst - where strange noises, mysterious footprints and unexplained happenings have convinced them the place is haunted. The show will tape at the Briarhurst later this winter and the episode should air in the spring, Tammila Wright said. The Wrights had a couple spooky experiences of their own while spending the night at Fort Delaware, once a Civil War prison camp. Erick Wright saw something large and grey running in the night. Later, Tammila Wright said something roughly as big as herself ran past her and disappeared."I felt like someone was running on the left side of me," she said. "I thought it was going to run me over. That really freaked me out bad."

It seems that the angle of the shadow cast by the "Dear Leader" is different to his comrades'. Is this a faked photograph or does the North Korean leader cast a different kind of shade? It was intended to be the photograph that settled the matter once and for all — three months after vanishing from public view, and after reports that he had undergone brain surgery following a stroke, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il, was alive and well. But a close look reveals something shady around the ankles of the world’s last Cold War dictator. While the legs of his soldiers cast a shadow at a sharp angle, the shadow of the “Dear Leader” is dead straight. In addition, there is a black line running horizontally behind the soldiers’ legs, but it mysteriously disappears behind Mr Kim. Rather than a genuine photograph, there were growing suspicions last night that the image released by the North Korean authorities may possibly be the result of digital trickery. Yesterday the state-controlled North Korean media announced that Mr Kim had attended a musical performance at which he “waved back to the cheering performers and congratulated them on their presentation”. The photographs were first presented the day before — and together they eroded the consensus among North Korea watchers that the leader of the world’s most unpredictable nuclear power had suffered a serious health problem over the past few months. The pictures show Mr Kim posing for a group photograph with a military unit, wearing a light coloured winter coat, sunglasses and sporting his familiar pompadour. On Sunday, in similarly undated photographs, he was shown apparently attending a football match. “He expressed expectation and conviction that all the artistes would conduct dynamic revolutionary art activities in the future too, to powerfully encourage the army and people in the drive for accomplishing the cause of building a great prosperous powerful nation,” said yesterday’s report on KCNA. Mr Kim ceased making public appearances in mid-August but it was only on September 9 that his absence from view became a matter of pressing concern. That was the 60th anniversary of the North Korean state, a day of almost sacred significance, when parades and celebrations were held all over the country. Despite attending the 50th and 55th anniversaries, Mr Kim failed to appear. There was speculation that he was ill or had even died — an alarming possibility in a country with a million-strong army, nuclear weapons technology, a hungry population and no formal system of succession. The head of the South Korea spy agency, Kim Sung Ho, publicly confirmed media reports from unnamed US intelligence sources that Mr Kim had suffered a stroke and been treated by foreign doctors. “Although he is not in a state to walk around, he is conscious,” he told South Korean MPs. “We understand that he can control the situation and he is not in an unstable condition.” If the recent photographs are genuine, then he has made a remarkable recovery — or reports of his indisposition have been greatly exaggerated. It is a big if — and there has been much poring over other images for signs of fraud or fakery. Pictures released last month, for example, were dismissed because the state of the foliage in the background suggested that they had been taken in summer — probably before the alleged stroke. In the photographs at the football match Mr Kim is not making great use of his left arm, leading to speculation that he was suffering partial paralysis. In the latest pictures of the military, he is seen to be clapping and raising both hands. North Korea analysts suggested that the release of the news was timed deliberately to coincide with the election of Barack Obama. “He’s sending a message to the US,” says Moon Chung In, a professor at Seoul’s Yonsei University, who has twice met Mr Kim in Pyongyang. “They’re saying our leader is alive and well, and we’re ready to talk.”sity, who has twice net Mr Kim in Pyongyang. “They’re saying our leader is alive and well, and we’re ready to talk.”

Videos: The Ghost of Blue Bell Hill

The most famous ghost that appears on the roads of the British Isles is the female apparition known as the Ghost of Blue Bell Hill. Reports of her age and features vary from being that of a 10-14 year old girl, a young lady, or as a scary old hag. In most cases she appears as a young woman. The most intriguing thing about the sightings is that they are so well documented. There are many actual named witnesses and police reports. She has been featured in hundreds of articles in newspapers, books, magazines, TV shows, the Internet and now a letterbox. The area of the sightings is Blue Bell Hill in the county of Kent, England. Blue Bell Hill is a large chalk hill that features a group of prehistoric tombs which includes the remains of a Neolithic cambered long barrow called Kit’s Coty House. The road where the ghost is usually seen follows the route of an old Roman road. Her first known appearance was in 1934 but she was not seen again until the mid 1960s. Since that time she has been seen on numerous occasions. In most cases a lone male will be driving down the road late at night and he will see a young lady on the side of the road. As the vehicle gets closer, the girl will run out into the road staring right into the eyes of the driver. The vehicle will hit her and she goes underneath the vehicle. The panicked driver stops and looks all around the area but can’t find the body. The extremely distraught driver calls the police but when they get there they can find no evidence of any accident, no blood or damage to the car and no trace of the young woman. The witnesses always say that the woman seemed very real, nothing unusual, until they can’t find a body. The drivers all seem genuinely deeply upset and truly believe that their experience was real. In other appearances the ghost is hitch hiking, gets picked up, gets in the car and disappears in the back seat or just when she is dropped off. The girl doesn’t disappear in front of the driver but vanishes in an instant when the driver isn’t looking. In one well known case, a driver hit the young lady which made a very loud bang. He got out of the car and found the girl injured. He pulled her off the road, covered her with a blanket and drove to the police station for help. When emergency help arrived all they found was an empty blanket. No evidence was found of any accident or missing person.I usually like to refer to several web sites that can offer a more detailed analysis or different views. Although there are many different web sites on this subject, I recommend one that I think does an excellent job and is by far the most thorough.

Washington, DC's Phantom Black Cat

This week seemed an apt time to ponder our nation’s political ghosts. We all know Abraham Lincoln haunts the White House along with Andrew Jackson and a host of first ladies, Woodrow Wilson is seen in a rocking chair at Blair House, and a great many ghosts are associated with the other federal government buildings in Washington. But one ghost is known to be seen in at least two places always heralding disaster for the nation. It is the Phantom black cat. Seen in the basements of the White House, the mall and the Capitol, DC as it is called (short for Demon Cat) is reported to appear just before national disasters. When seen, it is sometimes reported to appear as a kitten, but as you get closer it grows into a menacing and angry tiger-like animal with red glowing eyes. It is only seen at night, and normally only by people that are alone. It made an appearance before the stock market crash of 1929, and again before the assassination of John F. Kennedy. At the White House, it is usually seen during times - such as now - when the presidency is moving to a new person. The origin of the story may lie with the fact that the capitol was once infested with rats. The problem became so severe, that caretakers released a large number of cats in the building to control the rat population. Ever since, the black cat has made his appearance. Guards fear even talking about seeing the animal, mainly as it might cause them to lose their security clearance, but stories abound from retired federal employees.Personally I wish they’d tell us whenever it is seen. Whether a concocted urban legend or a legitimate paranormal phenomena, DC remains a fascinating and little-known phantom that remains unique in its ability to appear in multiple different places, always before a disaster. If it really does exist, more information would be quite welcome.

Paranormal Investigation w/ Video - Riley's Whitby Bull Restaurant - Aiken County, South Carolina

Will and Lorraine Riley suspected they might not be alone in their restaurant, and reported seeing fleeting glimpses of the unexplainable -- such as hearing music and the presence of little people -- since they have been the owners of the Pine Log Road location. They aren't alone in their reports, as previous owners have documented strange occurrences including the turning of a doorknob. Current employees report bizarre encounters, as well. Curious to find out if they were not alone, the Graniteville Paranormal Society (GPS) was called in to conduct an investigation on Halloween night. The group is not your typical group of "ghost hunters": they are a family joined by close friends who share a common interest. GPS founder Scott Sperringer and his friends began investigating suspected hauntings for fun a few years ago, visiting graveyards and abandoned buildings. During the early days the equipment was primitive; however, that has changed. As Scott became more serious about expanding the group, Kim and Tim Sperringer, his parents, decided to get involved. With their addition came the rest of the family, Chelsea Sperringer, Scott's younger sister, and Scott's wife Amy Sperringer. "I told Scotty if you are going to do this, you have to do it right," Kim said. SClBThe Sperringers conducted extensive research to find the proper equipment and finesse investigation techniques. As a starting point for the group, they researched places around the state with suspected hauntings and went out to collect their own evidence. In less than a year, GPS has investigated over 19 locations. At the conclusion of each investigation members of the team review evidence, and Kim creates episodes revealing the evidence and providing the history of a location. These videos are then made available to the public at www.granitevilleparanormal.com, as well as on YouTube. "It's a history lesson in a new way," said Kim. GPS's latest investigation occurred in Aiken County at Riley's Whitby Bull and, after pouring over video tapes, EVPs, temperature changes and photographs, evidence revealed an "intelligent haunting" is present at Riley's Whitby Bull. According to Kim Sperringer, case manager and investigator, an intelligent haunting means "an actual spirit or ghost that can communicate, move things, tap on a shoulder in order to be noticed." The evidence used to arrive at the conclusion includes cold spots (drastic temperature drops), anomalies on video and EVP responses. Tim explains, "An EVP is an electronic voice phenomenon: a sound, a noise, a voice not audibly heard at the time of the recording. It's picked up on an electronic device. It may sound malevolent or rough or bad but that's not the case -- it's just using the energy around it in order to let you know it's there or to create the EVP." During review of the EVPs, an audible response to direct questions is heard on several occasions. "EVP responses indicate a possible intelligent haunting. There is nothing to indicate that (the ghost or spirit) is nothing more than friendly and seems to enjoy the residence/restaurant and the owners," agreed GPS investigators Kim, Scott, Chelsea and Tim. In addition to the EVPs, there were also two EMF spikes away from electrical sources, on registering on a KII meter and the other on a Gauss meter. "Both occurred during the drastic temperature change in the yellow room during an EVP session," said Kim. "The video evidence is not strong, but the EVPs are fairly strong and what we consider Class B, meaning audible but faint." All of the EVP and video recordings may be found on GPS's website for others to draw their own opinions. GPS is currently seeking personal residences to investigate. "We are a nonprofit group; therefore investigation requests are always free of charge, nor do we accept donations," said Kim. "We do this because we enjoy it. If you suspect paranormal activity contact us at questions@granitevilleparanormal.com to complete an investigation. Everything is done with permission to gain access." "We hunt what haunts us," said Scott. ________________________________________________

Illinois Woman Lived With Deceased Siblings

Neighbours knew 90-year-old Margaret Bernstorff's Evanston home was a mess, cluttered with old furniture and stacks of yellowing newspapers. But no one imagined that inside the colourful Victorian-era home on Judson Avenue were the decayed bodies of three siblings, one of whom died in the 1970s and another of whom died about six months ago.The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed yesterday that the dead included Bernstorff's sister Anita, who died in May at age 98; her brother, Frank, who died in 2003 at age 83; and another sister, Elaine, who died in her 60s sometime in the late 1970s. The bodies, some covered with blankets, were found on Friday in different rooms of the home.It was determined that all three died of natural causes and police have not charged anyone with a crime. Bernstorff was unavailable for comment and has been placed in a senior care facility. As investigators continued to gather information from the home, police and neighbours were left to wonder how a woman could apparently live for years inside a home with the decaying remains of family members."I'm shocked. I think we're all shocked," said Allan Redmond, an Evanston contractor who had become friendly with Margaret Bernstorff after doing repairs on her home. "A few weeks ago I asked her about her sister [Anita] because it had been a long time since I'd seen her. She said that her sister was sick and upstairs, but I couldn't have imagined something like this."Some neighbours knew Margaret Bernstorff had once lived with relatives. But it had been years since anyone had seen her brother and months since they had seen or spoken with Anita, Redmond said. Given the horrid conditions inside her home, many were concerned that Margaret could no longer care for herself. Some neighbours occasionally checked in on Bernstorff, bringing food and groceries the woman didn't always warmly accept. "She could be stubborn and she didn't take help a lot of the time," Redmond said.

As a kid growing up in the 1970s, I enjoyed watching the classic documentaries about Bigfoot that were produced in those days.I would never miss a late night TV showing of "The Legend of Boggy Creek," even though it scared me at the time. I can't forget going to the House Theater to catch the docudrama "Sasquatch" back in 1977.For the past week, I have had the opportunity to once again enjoy one of the best Bigfoot movies of them all: "The Mysterious Monsters." Hosted by Peter Graves, this 1976 movie takes a look at both the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot mysteries. It also contains some of the most vivid and scary recreations of Bigfoot sightings. You can check this movie out on YouTube, even though you have to watch it in 10 parts. They certainly don't make documentaries like those anymore. And that is a shame because today we seem to hear about more Bigfoot encounters than ever. The Web site for the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) contains a tale about something that happened this summer. The BFRO's Web site is a place where folks can post their sightings anonymously. In his report, a man talks about a camping and fly-fishing trip he took in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado in June of this year. The man states that he had been camping, hiking and fishing in this area for about six years. He was also very familiar with all the sounds the various animals make in Colorado's forests and mountains. He had only one companion on this weekend camping trip, his Labrador retriever."The second evening, I had cooked dinner and taken the Lab out for a last evening walk around the meadows," the man wrote in his report. "It had been a good day of fishing and we were both tired. We went to bed in the tent just at dark. It was a night of an almost full moon. We both fell asleep quickly."A bit later, the man was awakened by something outside his tent. At first, he thought it was a deer."After about 10 minutes from out of nowhere, I heard this unreal, LOUD, clear, resonant, scream/screech/howl/roar type sound from not too far away," he wrote in his report. "It sounded maybe 300 to 400 yards away and like it might have been just across the canyon on the mountainside. It was like no sound I have ever heard in my life."He describes it as a "fairly high-pitched" sound and was not like the screams of wild cats."It seemed to be two parts screaming howl and one part roar, as it had that deep quality but was still high-pitched," he wrote. "I sat there for a minute stunned, and then realized what it must be."The man wrote that he had previously read accounts on the BFRO's Web site from folks who reportedly heard the screams of a Bigfoot. What he heard that night matched their descriptions."The sound seemed to be coming directly toward me, like it might have been screaming at or towards me or this meadow area where people sometimes camp," he wrote in his report. "It felt territorial, aggressive, even a little threatening. Even though I had a (.357-caliber Magnum) loaded with hot hollow points and a strong flashlight, the prospect of encountering some big, hairy 'man-thing' outside my tent in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, and alone, was a little more than I wanted to deal with."The man got his dog into the truck and he drove away from there as fast as he could, with his .357 in his lap. He drove that night looking for a place to stay."I have lived and backpacked extensively in Montana and in the Canadian Rockies and dealt with the reality of grizzly bears with no real problem," he wrote. "But this noise and the creature that most likely made it really freaked me out."He spent the rest of the night in his truck. At daybreak, he went back to his campsite."I did not find any tracks in the greater area in which I was camping as it was mostly grass, although I did walk around and search for a bit," he wrote. "Now I am paranoid and worry that I might not be doing any more backpacking in this beautiful and remote area for fear of running into one of these spooky creatures, especially at night."

Phoenix Lights: 'The Intruder' Video Resurfaces - New Theories

After all that time, Jim Dilettoso at last released video of "The Intruder", as shown in our special, The Phoenix Lights: X. At least one more video exists, showing what appear to be mystery lights moving over Phoenix. The difference in this tape: Dilettoso says a pilot from Luke Air Force Base captured the images with a camera in his cockpit, as he pursued the lights over Maricopa County. While the video is not yet released to the public, Dilettoso does describe it exclusively for us.

Northwest Missouri State Offers Courses on Reporting the Paranormal

Jason Offutt is set to teach a ghostly writing class at Northwest Missouri State University.Witnessing a translucent human being as a little boy has a way of leaving a permanent imprint. Jason Offutt wasn’t traumatized by the brown-haired kid wearing a flannel shirt that he saw through in his home in Orrick, Missouri as a pre-teen. It spurred an interest that he’s turned into a book, a popular blog, a newspaper column and now a 300-level journalism class. The journalism instructor at Northwest Missouri State University is continually finding ways to teach his students how to research, interview and write news stories. As a former newspaper reporter, photographer and editor, Mr. Offutt knows the tedium that comes with covering bureaucratic powwows. He’s offering an outlet to students that allows them to hone their reporting skills while exploring a quirky and fun subject. “Every culture on the planet, separated by oceans, all have ghosts in their belief systems,” Mr. Offutt said, explaining that there must be something to the phenomenon of ghost sightings. The course will be offered next fall, most likely as a one-time course. Many of his students want to enroll, but the course will be limited to 22 students. The offering had to meet the approval of the mass communications department, the faculty senate and the provost’s office. To his knowledge, nobody wrinkled their nose at it. “It gives students a taste of something fun while also learning how to be a better reporter,” he said, adding that they’ll approach the topics seriously. The class comes complete with a field trip to a supposed haunted house in Valisca, Iowa, where an entire family was wiped out by an ax murderer in 1912. Mr. Offutt, who published Haunted Missouri two years ago, is working on another ghost book but with a focus on hauntings within 100 miles of Maryville. His blog, From The Shadows which “explores the world of the paranormal” gets an average of 5,000 hits a month. It can be found at http://www.from-the-shadows.blogspot.com/

Crescent Hotel and Spa: Possibly America's Most Haunted Hotel

Ken Fugate and Carroll Heath are mediums. No, not shirt size. They're clairvoyants. They talk to ghosts.Specifically, the two communicate with the spirits that roam the halls of the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa, which is billed as America's "most haunted hotel," making it a dandy place to spend Halloween or any other dark and stormy night.Fugate and Heath offer evening ghost tours of the hotel, which they prefer to say is "visited" rather than haunted. The hotel's ghosts are sensitive souls, the two men explain, and those from the Victorian era are particularly spooked by what they see today."In their time, women didn't even bare an ankle," Heath said. "They see female hotel guests in shorts and are shocked."To understand the hotel's ghosts, you must understand the history of the Crescent, which stands on the highest hill overlooking Eureka Springs and is affectionately referred to as the "Grand Old Lady of the Ozarks."When the Crescent opened in 1886, the local newspaper hailed it as "America's most luxurious resort hotel." For the next 15 years, the hotel was a destination for the country's carriage set. Ladies in long skirts, hats and veils and gentlemen in top hats enjoyed morning horseback rides, afternoon tea parties and evening dances with the in-house orchestra. The Golden Age was short-lived. Because business was slow in the winter, Crescent College and Conservatory for Women opened in the hotel in 1908, but both the college and hotel closed in 1934 during the Depression. The darkest hour came in 1937, when the hotel was purchased by Dr. Norman Baker, a flamboyant quack who dressed in lavender colors and claimed he could cure cancer with injections of a mixture that included glycerine, alcohol and a tea brewed from watermelon seeds and clover leaves. The hotel became the Baker Cancer Hospital, until the doctor's arrest in 1939. One investigator estimated Baker defrauded cancer patients out of $4 million and hastened their death. The Crescent went through a series of owners, and restorations, over the next several decades until its present saviors, Marty and Elise Roenigk, purchased it in 1997. The Roenigks are antique lovers and historic preservationists from Connecticut, and the Crescent became their largest project. They also bought the town's other historic hotel, the 1905 Basin Park Hotel, and recently added War Eagle Mill, a working, turn-of-the-century grist mill with shop and restaurant, to their collection. In their first year, the Roenigks remodeled the top floor of the five-story Crescent for their own residence and began restoration of the hotel rooms, which was completed by 2003.The Roenigks are not into ghosts, although Elise has noted that their old Irish setter, Jazz, refused to stay alone in the north penthouse, one of the hot spots for ghostly sightings. Marty has emphasized that the hotel's ghosts "have been at best friendly, at worst mischievous."Which brings us to the hotel's ethereal residents, who have attracted the curious from all over the world, including shows like the Sci-Fi Channel's "Ghost Hunters," which used infrared photography to film a shadowy figure in a section of the hotel Baker used as a morgue. The invasion of the TV crews, with their equipment, terrified the ghosts, the clairvoyants said.Five familiar spirits are said to be living in the Crescent: Michael was a red-haired, Irish stone mason who fell to his death when the Crescent was under construction in 1886. He landed in what today is Room 218, a popular spot for spirit seekers. There's also a nurse seen pushing a gurney after 11:30 p.m., when Baker removed the dead. A gentleman in a top hat usually leaves behind the smell of his cigar. A female student who either fell or was pushed over a railing has been seen re-creating her deadly plunge. Whiffs of perfume means Theodora, a matronly cancer patient, is near.Fugate and Heath speak fondly of them all. Like Casper, these are friendly ghosts."Michael has a wonderful sense of humor," Heath said. In the summer, he'll turn up the heat in Room 218 to tease its residents; in the winter, they'll find the air conditioner on full blast. Occupants wake up to find the window and door wide open.Like many of the other spirits, Heath said, Michael "doesn't realize he's out of body." Dead, that is."The cancer patients came here to be cured," Heath added. "They're still hanging around, waiting."Fugate and Heath came to the Crescent from San Francisco in 1995, and bought a Victorian home near the hotel that once was owned by Dr. C.F. Ellis, who was the staff physician when the Crescent opened. When they got the contract to do the ghost tours, they wanted to open a headquarters in a hotel room that formerly was the doctor's office. When negotiations with the hotel bogged down, they sought help -- from Dr. Ellis, who they said is the cigar-smoking ghost in the stovepipe hat."He told us not to worry, it would work out," Fugate said. "The next day, they offered us the space."The Crescent has 72 rooms in the hotel proper and I was in 319, one of the rooms that got a recent makeover. The room was spacious, with dark wood furniture, some antique and some reproduction. There was a flat-screen TV and a large combination shower and jetted tub for two in the bathroom.A pair of French doors opened onto a veranda with a panoramic view of the wooded valley that holds the town of Eureka Springs. Below were the gardens that surround the hotel, and the red-tiled roof of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, which celebrates two Masses a week and attracts another sort of spiritual seeker.Hotel spokesman Bill Ott said the busiest month is October, when the surrounding forest glows. "October usually lasts six weeks here -- we still have good color into November," he said. Most guests like the hotel because of its rich history, Ott said. "The ghost tour is just a lagniappe -- a little something extra," he said. The hotel is popular for weddings, and the grounds are landscaped for their parties. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant with crystal chandeliers and an extensive wine list, a cocktail lounge, an outdoor pool and the New Moon Spa. The glassed-in conservatory and gazebo have been restored to their Victorian elegance. As is the case in most century-old structures, something could always use a little updating."The creed we live by is, first, protect the irreplaceable," Ott said. "We run a hotel so we can keep this building going. There's been a couple of times when it was about to be razed, and the Roenigks don't want that, and we don't want to let it happen to them."Most of the spooky "evidence" from the Crescent consists of shadowy images and orbs of light in videos or photos taken by guests and ghost hunters. They can be seen at www.eureka-springs-ghost.com, the site operated by Fugate and Heath, and at www.americasmosthauntedhotel.com.The mediums said my room, 319, has had its share of reported sightings."A woman who stayed there saw the image of a man in the bathroom mirror and screamed," Heath said. "Then, she came out on the balcony about 10:30 that night and witnessed the girl falling over the railing. She took our tour and was so relieved to hear the stories. She said, 'Thank you, I thought I was losing my mind.'"My three nights in Room 319 went by without incident. I did hear what sounded like a shuddering at the foot of my bed, but I'm pretty sure it was the window air conditioner. And while my room was directly below Theodora's, I couldn't be sure that the occasional sweet smell was, in fact, her matronly perfume. In fact, the scariest thing about my entire stay was the creaky old hotel elevator, which appeared to be original equipment and had a mind of its own.I took the stairs. The Crescent already has one red-haired ghost

Evie and Chloe Church have a rare illness which can cause them to die if they hear a loud noise or experience sudden shock.Every morning the sisters, aged nine and 11, have to be woken from their sleep with the greatest of care. The girls have the rare medical condition Long QT Syndrome, which causes an abnormality of the heart's electrical system. As a result of their illness, any sudden rush of adrenaline or a sharp rise in blood pressure could prove fatal. Even any type of exercise - especially swimming - could be fatal. Samantha Church, the girls' mother, said: "Sometimes it just feels like I'm living with a time bomb, terrified it today will be the day it goes off. "It breaks my heart not knowing if they are going to be here tomorrow or in five years time." Long QT Syndrome affects one in 7,000, and is usually genetic. Mrs Church, 41, said: "My mother-in-law had the condition and had to have a defibrillator fitted. "We had the girls checked from an early age but initial tests proved inconclusive." It was doctors at Swansea's Singleton Hospital who picked up the little-known condition during an ECG scan of the youngest daughter, Evie, in July this year. Mrs Church said: "Chloe and Evie have to be woken up really carefully in the morning and have to skip PE lessons at school. "They exercise using the Nintendo Wii, but have to be strictly supervised. "They're both on beta blockers for life. It's been incredibly tough for them, but they've coped remarkably well." Luckily for the girls, they are fairly safe from harm as long as they can prepare for loud noises. It meant they could go with their friends to a fireworks party this week and enjoy the bangs like any other child. "I want Chloe and Evie to try and have as normal a life as possible – I can't wrap them up in cotton wool," added Mrs Church.

Every once in awhile, I come across an anecdote or video of someone whose behavior is beyond the fringe of normal...though, comical. I think the subject of the following videos qualifies:These police videos were made available (how, I don't know) by a southern Louisiana police agency depicting the life of 'Steve the Lawnmower Guy'.... Enjoy!
Videos: The Life and Times of 'Steve the Lawnmower Guy'

Click to download the HD video Casa Grande UFOStatement from witness: I was at home on a break from work when my wife looked out the kitchen window and said, "Oh, look! There is a UFO in the sky!" "Ya, sure." I replied thinking she was joking. "No!" she responded, "For real!" She then said she thought they might be balloons again. The past several weeks we had some balloons from local functions in the community escape that could possibly fool some people at a glace. I went to the window and took one good look and new instantly these where not balloons. There were three bright white shimmering objects straight south approx 30 degrees elev. They were in the shape of a triangle with the top center one the brightest and almost appeared to be two overlapping. I would compare it to the brightest star or planet such as Venus and approx 3 times larger in the sky. The lower left was very bright but not as big. The lower right one was half as bright as the left one and a little closer to the top one. I told my wife to keep watching while I got my video camera. Canon XH-A1 Hi-Def set at 1080i 60i fps. By the time I grabbed the camera, inserted the battery and an HD DV tape and got outside to the patio to start filming, a good minute had pasted. I set the camera to full auto mode so I would not waste anymore time making manual adjustments. By profession I am a videographer and an independent filmmaker. I do a lot of "Gun and Run" or "Shoot and Scoot" at weddings and events. This camera does very well in those uncontrolled environments. I asked my wife to get my tripod in hopes of getting a nice steady shot. In the mean time I steadied myself against the patio support post. The camera has a 20x optical zoom and would need to be as steady as possible on full zoom. I did have to turn on one stop on the ND filter plus there was no UV filter on the lens, FYI. As I filmed I noticed that there was a fourth object to the lower right of the other three and the three were in a wider upside down "V" pattern much like three aircraft in formation with the fourth man out military style, except if this were the case of actual airplanes then they would be coming towards us, these seemed to remain in a fixed position in the sky with no direction of travel. I noted that all high altitude jet aircraft that day were leaving very heavy vapor trails, these had none. As my wife returned with the tripod the objects started to fade in and out and the camera started to have problems staying in focus lock and I was having a hard time keeping in frame with the view finder. The objects instantly disappeared. I had a total of 46 seconds of actual video of the objects. I down loaded the video into my computer using Sony Vegas Pro-8 software. Upon evaluating the video on an HD monitor I could see that my camera took a little longer than normal to focus lock on the objects when I zoomed in. Once it did I could see they had more of a white cigar shape with a faint blurry smear to the left of each. The left object was now not as bright as the right and closer to the top one while the right one was a little further away and not as bright as it was when viewed at the kitchen window. Halfway through the video I could see the fourth object got very bright at on point then faded with the others. When played in slow motion I could see a definite pulsing of the white light which seemed to totally surround whatever the object was at times. Towards the end of the video and enlarging the frames or zooming in tighter with the editing software, it appeared the bright white was fading and an actual object was taking form. On the last few frames zoomed in it almost looked like an airplane with no tail fin. A center body with left and right wings but no center fin. The camera could no longer hold focus and they where gone. At the beginning of the video I marked a reference point on one of the tree branches to the top center object. Near the end of the video I marked the same two points. The objects were in the same position and angle on the screen indicating to me they had not changed position through the whole scene clip. About an hour later a high altitude commercial jet was passing over to the north of us and the sun was reflecting off of it similar to the bright white light of the four objects except the jet was leaving a heavy vapor trail. Curious, I grabbed my camera again and did a test shot to compare. The camera instantly focus locked when zoomed. I could make out every detail of the jet liner. The body, the wings, the tail and even the nose shape. The bright glare from the body was clearly distinguishable but not interfering with the details of the craft. The glare was not pulsing or separating. Since this event I have not found anyone who witnessed the same in order to get validation and a position triangulation. It is my feeling that these objects were very far away and not in the local proximity. Possibly so far that the atmosphere may have been playing tricks on light and magnification. Also the sun would not have been side reflecting off them since they were to the south and not to the north like the jet was. I have been a photographer and videographer for over 20 years and shot a lot of aircraft and things in the sky both nighttime and daytime. I have always believed that most everything can be explained and have. However, I do know that sometimes an anomaly may occur that the common person cannot identify or explain. Right now I cannot identify or explain this one. In all my years of experience in the Navy, a NASA certified electronics inspector during the Apollo program, a law enforcement officer, involvement in space communications programs, photography and videography this one caught me totally by surprise and slightly unprepared for the experience. If you can come up with any information that would explain what this was or even what it definitely was not it would be greatly appreciated by my wife and I.

Musings of a Medium: A Message From the Spirit World

By Dawn Carr - International Psychic MediumAs a psychic medium, it’s my job to be the liaison between people on earth and people in the spirit world. I accept it wholeheartedly and I enjoy the positive energy that connects these two worlds. On Halloween Eve of 2008, a special message came through from the spirit world that also offered physical proof of the existence of that world. The evening began with a special Halloween performance of my show entitled “Medium Night ~ An Evening of Spirit Communication”. During this show, I conduct gallery mediumship for the audience, which is similar to the styles of John Edward and John Holland, if you’ve ever witnessed their performances. I stand before the audience and begin by describing the person who is coming through from the spirit world and then I bring through their messages to their friends and loved ones in the crowd. It’s always a wonderful, uplifting experience for me when this happens because these messages come through with love, compassion and comfort. On that evening, the show was purposely being held in an old building that was built in 1892. The energy was incredible as the spirits came in one after another with messages for the audience. Halfway through the show, a male spirit came through who showed me that he was hit with something heavy. I felt like his name began with a soft “G” or “J” sound and I announced these descriptions to the audience. A man seated next to me stated that he recently lost a friend to a tragic train accident. With this confirmation, the man in spirit directed me over to this man, who turned out to be Wayne Nye, a paranormal investigator and spirit photographer.Wayne Nye’s nickname is “The Cemetery Guy” because of his work with genealogy research and the paranormal. As a local “ghost hunter”, he is a member of the Massachusetts Area Paranormal Society and investigates paranormal activity with them at various locales around New England. Spurred on by his interest in the paranormal, he also partakes in spirit photography, which is the practice of obtaining photographs that contain images of the spirit world. On this night, Wayne was about to receive a message from his recently deceased friend who also came through with physical proof of his afterlife visit. The man’s name was Joseph Doherty and he was only forty one years old when he was struck by a train as he was taking his nightly walk near the tracks in Braintree, Massachusetts. The accident occurred on October 18, 2008 – twelve days before this mediumship event on the evening before Halloween. As the man in spirit continued with his communication, I related to Wayne about how this man was in the wrong place at the wrong time. His death happened quickly and with great force, but he said that he didn't feel a thing because of the suddenness of it all. His mother and another woman were there to greet him after the accident and to explain to him what happened. At first, he was shocked by it all and tried to communicate to his friends and loved ones that he was okay, but they couldn't see or hear him. He was happy to be able to come through on this night and to talk to his friend at the mediumship show.Joe continued speaking through me as he told Wayne that he would be appearing in one of Wayne’s spirit photographs. He said that it would be obvious because his image would appear in the lower right-hand corner of the photo and it would be different from the other photos that Wayne would take that day. With this message, Wayne turned white as a ghost and stated that he took a photograph that fit that description on that very day.Earlier in the day, Wayne and his M.A.P.S. paranormal group were investigating the old building where the show was to be held later that night. In the upstairs hallway, he lit a candle and placed it in the center of the floor so that he could take some pictures. He stepped back from the candle, squatted down and was about to take a picture when a bright blue orb came zooming down the hallway toward him.An orb is a common form that spirits will take in photographs and if anyone is lucky enough to see one in life, they often appear to be blue in color. I've experienced this before and it is quite amazing to behold. When the blue orb came toward Wayne, it brought with it a gust of wind and he began to fall back from the surprise of it all. As he fell back, he snapped a picture and felt the orb as it flew by his right side. He developed the picture a short time later and was delighted that he was able to capture the image of the blue orb. What he didn't know was that the orb was his friend Joe paying him a visit. After the show that night, Wayne approached me with the picture that he had taken earlier in the day. There it was: the image that Joe had described so clearly. The orb was huge and it was located in the lower right-hand corner of the picture. Wayne confirmed that it was unlike any other picture that he had taken that day. He also added another bit of information during our discussion. His friend Joe had heard about my show and he had planned on buying tickets for that evening’s performance. Joe did, in fact, attend, but not in the original way that he anticipated. We never know how those in spirit will get their messages across, but be sure that when they do, they will always find a way that is both comforting and amazing at the same time.

“A senior nurse at a large general hospital in Israel, apparently decided to have her pictures taken with a tiny premature baby from the hospitals maternal ward, placed in her nurse uniform pocket. The shocking photos, in which the nurse smiles to the camera and presents the tiny baby in her pocket, somehow leaked to the press and from there to the hospital administration. The nurse, a senior nurse with 13 years of work experience in the hospital, will stand before the hospital’s administrative committee before a decision in her case is given.”

Historic California House Suspected to be Haunted

In 1993, when Steve and Elizabeth Clapper purchased the historic McCloud Century House, they had no idea that they would be getting a little something more than they bargained for. Finally, after what they call “repeated reports of suspicious and mysterious activities,” they decided to call the Redding Paranormal Investigations team, which came to town last week.Located on the corner of Lawndale Court and Colombero Avenue, the beautiful building built in 1903 was the first hospital in Siskiyou County and served as such until the late ’60s. There are a number of people still living in McCloud who were born or had parents or grandparents born there. After purchasing the Craftsman Style building, the Clappers began restoring it, turning it into a luxurious Bed and Breakfast Hotel Retreat. From the beginning the Clappers said they experienced strange things happening... like footsteps in the hallway and stairway, a dark figure standing in the hallway one moment, then gone the next. Guests over the years have also reported strange occurrences.“One lady in particular, reportedly made up her bed, and left her room,” said Steve. “Upon returning she noticed the wrinkled up place where someone had been sitting.”Recently Clapper saw a Redding Paranormal Investigations Team ad on Craig's List and contacted them.Last Wednesday night, Nov. 5, the team arrived, took a tour of the historic facility, then set up their equipment, including cameras, camcorders, video equipment, computers, EMF meters, and various scientific gauges used in electronic fields of study, such as paranormal investigation. The team lingered until about 4 a.m. the next morning gathering evidence.Team members, according to a press release, reported not only seeing shadows, but a dark figure going up a staircase and footsteps in hallways which had nobody in them. They reported that as one of the team members was leaving a room, someone was heard to say, “I'm alright,” and according to the team member, “nobody else was in there.”“Strange things started happening from day one," said Steve. “I occasionally heard footsteps in the hallway, but when I looked, no one was there. Sometimes late at night when I was working upstairs, it sounded like an active hospital going on downstairs. You could hear muffled voices of people talking, and things rolling on the floor, and dishes rattling... maybe like a cafeteria would sound. I go downstairs and it’s perfectly quiet.”Clapper said, “June Bolton, who has lived in McCloud all her life, told me she used to clean rooms here for Dr. Larson. She said Larson told her of a fellow who died here. She asked where, and he said, “in the hospital. When she had completed the cleaning she told Larson she had felt the presence of someone being there in that room. She asked Larson again, where the fellow had died. Being a joker he told her in that room. Bolton wasn't too happy about that.”Elizabeth said she has also heard the footsteps in the hallway.“One day while exiting one of the rooms, I saw a figure standing off to my side; I turned my head, and when I turned back it was gone,” she said.

Bigfoot-Like Creature Reported Roaming London Suburb

Park officials have denied a bigfoot-like creature is on the loose in Wanstead’s woods after a “strange and hairy” bear-like animal was spotted by a fisherman. Trainee fitness instructor Michael Kent said he was “stunned” when he saw the “hairy, dark creature” during an evening fishing trip in the Hollow Ponds area of Epping Forest, on the border between Wanstead and Leytonstone. Mr Kent, 18, said: “I was there with my dad and brother. I was walking over to where my brother was when I heard this rustling sound. “I looked over and saw this strange, dark figure that resembled a bear. It was hunched over and I could see it had a really hairy back. I think it must have heard me and scampered off into the bushes after a couple of seconds. “It was getting dark but I still managed to get a good look at it. It was about 4ft tall, so it was too small to be human, but not the right shape to be a deer, it didn’t have long legs or anything like that. “I’ve been fishing in the area since I was five years old, and I’ve seen deer, dogs and even a cow before but never anything like this. “It definitely looked like a bear. My dad and brother weren’t so sure they just laughed but I really do believe I saw one.” He added: “It would be good if there bears around here because it would mean we’d have some other wildlife round here to enjoy, as long as they didn’t go around attacking people. “I’m going to keep my eye out for it and perhaps I’ll see it again.” But not everyone is convinced by the sighting. Ian Greer, a park keeper in Wanstead’s Tarzy Woods said: “I doubt he saw a bear. The biggest animals we’ve got in the woods are foxes. “Sometimes we get deer but there are no bears around here.”

Brazilian Woman Killed By Husband's Coffin

A Brazilian woman has died after being struck by her husband's coffin when the hearse they were traveling in was involved in a car crash. The 67-year-old woman was on the way to the cemetery to bury her husband, who had died the day before. The hearse was struck from behind by an Alfa Romeo car, police said. The coffin slammed into the head of the woman, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the hearse, killing her instantly, according to officers.Marciana Silva Barcelos and her family were on the way to a cemetery in the town of Alvorada in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, for the funeral of her partner, Josi Silveira Coimbra. The 76-year-old man had died of a heart attack on Sunday after attending a dance.Following the accident, the driver of the Alfa Romeo was trapped for around 50 minutes in the wreckage and was taken to hospital where he was put under observation. The driver of the hearse and a son of the dead man, who was also traveling in the hearse, were treated for minor injuries. An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the accident.
'History Channel' Film Crew Discover Unknown Creature at Okanagan Lake

A TV documentary crew has added to the mystery surrounding Ogopogo by finding an unknown biological specimen in the depths of Okanagan Lake."I told a radio station tongue-in-cheek I thought it was the baby Ogopogo," monster-watcher Bill Steciuk of Kelowna said Monday after the History Channel completed a nine-day shoot."It was all curled up. The features were really hard to see. You could see a little head tucked in and a straight tail with no fins."It's a huge mystery. We have no idea what it is," said Steciuk, who helped organize the shooting locations. The unidentified specimen has been shipped to the University of Guelph in Ontario for DNA tests, but Ogopogo buffs will have to wait until February to find out more, when the Monster Quest program weighs in on the legendary mega-serpent.Ogopogo, first sighted in the 1870s, is reputed to be 12 metres long with multiple humps and a small head. The History Channel, which had a bigger budget than previous expeditions, mounted a thermal infrared imaging camera on a helicopter for the first time. It picked up an unidentified shadow on the lake, while sonar spotted something over three metres long moving in the water. "That's pretty big for a fish," said Steciuk. But divers made the most interesting find in an underwater cave on the west side of Rattlesnake Island."I couldn't recognize it," said Steciuk. "Nor could anyone else. Maybe a new species has been found."Photographs of the specimen were shown to local expert Arlene Gaal, who has earned the title of Ogopogo-ologist after writing three books on the subject. She is not sure that the son of Ogopogo has been found."The Ogopogo is real, but I don't know what this is," she said. "I had my doubts when the crew presented me with their findings. It looked to me like a decomposing ling cod." She said the crew's best efforts were wasted on choppy waters."It was not the time for sightings," she said. "The Ogopogo likes warm weather and sunshine." Producers departed with dramatic re-enactments of past sightings - but no catch of the century.Steciuk said the program may have been defeated by the primitive snake's reserve."The Ogopogo is a shy animal," he said. "There is no question we have an aquatic animal on our lake. Okanagan residents are starting to come to grips with it.

A new pyramid has been discovered deep beneath Egyptian sands, archaeologists announced. The 4,300-year-old monument is believed to be the tomb of Queen Sesheshet, the mother of Pharaoh Teti, the founder ancient Egypt's 6th dynasty. Once nearly five stories tall, the pyramid—or at least what remains of it—lay beneath 23 feet (7 meters) of sand as well as a small shrine and mud-brick walls from later periods. The discovery is the third known "subsidiary" pyramid to the tomb of Teti. It's also the second pyramid discovered this year in Saqqara, an ancient royal burial complex near current-day Cairo. "I always say you never know what the sands of Egypt might hide," said Zahi Hawass, secretary general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA). "This might be the most complete subsidiary pyramid ever found at Saqqara," added Hawass, who is also a National Geographic Society explorer-in-residence. Surprise in the Sand Archaeologists found remnants of a white limestone casing for the surviving, 16-foot-tall (5-meter-tall) pyramid base. The angle of the base helped them determine that the pyramid's walls stood at a 51-degree angle. Based on that angle, the team determined that the pyramid was originally 46 feet (14 meters) tall and about 72 feet (22 meters) square at its base. The researchers were somewhat surprised to find a pyramid here, since they thought the area had been exhausted.Archaeologists had already found subsidiary pyramids for Teti's two principal wives I put I and Khuit, a hundred years ago and in 1994, respectively. Teams have been digging in the area for more than 20 years. "One hundred years ago they used to take sand and put it in unexcavated areas," Hawass said. "The archaeologists in the past used this area as a location for the sand.

A doctor who does research into reincarnation has come to the conclusion that Barack Obama was a close associate of Abraham Lincoln in a previous life.San Francisco-based Dr Walter Semkiw, a practising physician, claims that Barack Obama is the reincarnation of Lyman Trumbull, an Illinois Democratic senator and the principal author of the Thirteenth Amendment, which put an end to slavery in US.After Obama’s victory at the Presidential election, more information has been emerging on Obama by the day but this information is forcing everyone to think over and react. Incidentally, Illinois is the state that Lincoln represented and which Obama represents now.Semkiw, who has written two books on reincarnation, Return of the Revolutionaries focusing on cases of personalities reincarnated from the time of the American Revolution and Born Again which features reincarnation cases of Indian celebrities, says that he arrived at Obama’s past life in a similar manner - through a combination of psychic sessions as well as background research.About his research, Semkiw says that he found many similarities between Trumbull and Obama. After finishing law school, Trumbull moved to Illinois in the 1830s, where he set up a practice. He represented African-American slaves many times against slave-owners.In addition, says Semkiw, Trumbull was a great orator - one who could move people with his words - a quality that Obama also possesses.“If we accept the case of Trumbull having reincarnated as Obama, it also sends out an important message that individuals can change race from one incarnation to another,” says Semkiw.“Imagine how much more peaceful the world would be if we all realized that identification with one’s particular race, nationality, sect or religion is just a temporary one and that it can change from lifetime to lifetime.”

Killer Lakes: Are Extraterrestrials Responsible?

Mysterious flying objects of all shapes – round, ellipsoid, rectangular and triangular – can often be spotted near Lake Gaipo in the Cordilleras. Locals see them flying into the water of the lake or hanging above the water surface and then disappearing in the sky.Unlike ufologists, the Quechua Indians living on the shores of Gaipo Lake do not associate such phenomena with extraterrestrial beings. They are certain that witches and wizards assume the similitude of UFOs as they hunt for humans. Legend has it that a beam of light from a luminous object struck an Indian once. The man could not move a finger until the UFO vanished in the air. Another legend tells the story of a woman who was picking brushwood in the forest when she suddenly saw a disk of fire hanging above the lake. The disk was producing enormous heat that the woman could feel although she was standing quite far from the object. Gaipo is not the only killer lake in the world. A strange incident took place in October 1994 on John D. Long Lake in South Carolina. A young woman named as Susan Smith was convicted of murdering her two little sons. Susan left the boys, 3-year-old Michael and 14-months-old Alexander in her car and let it roll into the lake drowning the boys. Susan was sentenced to life in prison. The tragedy became a huge shock for the local population, and the people erected a monument on the pier in memory of the two children. The nightmare repeated again two years later, when a car with seven people inside – three adults and four children – suddenly took off, drove between the monuments to Alex and Michael and fell into the lake. All passengers of the car died in the accident, including another man who jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue at least someone. The stories made the local population believe that the lake had been cursed. Several dozens of cars drowned in Lake Whitney in Texas. All of the cars with passengers inside rolled into the lake from piers. Divers found some of the cars of the bottom of the lake, although they never found any human remains. Local police officers say that many of those cars could not roll into the water because they were on a parking brake. UFOlogist say that two unidentified flying objects landed on the lake during the first half of the 1970s. Is there any connection between UFOs and mysterious deaths? UFO’s are usually attracted to geopathogenic zones. It is not ruled out that the electromagnetic fields of such zones affect man-made objects and humans, which eventually results in tragic accidents. UFOs may also be the source of pathogenic radiation.

Besides screaming, what would you do if this image appeared in your family photograph? Once you recovered from the shock, you would most likely attempt to find a logical explanation for it. Everyone knows that digital cameras, in particular, are prone to all sorts of flaws and distortions, the infamous "orbs" being the most well-known example. If you couldn't find a logical explanation, then you might contact a group of experienced paranormal investigators for their evaluation. If THEY can't find a logical explanation for the appearance of this thing in your photo, you may find it a little more difficult to get a good night's sleep. That's exactly what happened when I found an e-mail message over the weekend asking for our assistance. There were two attachments: photographs that were taken one after the other. The first photo appeared normal, the second included this image. I immediately sent both to our core team for review and asked our Photography Expert to render his opinon in writing. Several hours later, I was still waiting. Finally, he completed his analysis, parts of which are included here: Very strange. There does not appear to be any Photoshop or other manipulation. The EXIF data indicates the pictures were taken 23 seconds apart with the first one taken at 1:58: 26 and the other taken 23 seconds later. Rotating the picture 180 degrees makes the face more apparent. In the first photo, there are two faint patches in the vicinity of the face but no discernible shape is visible. The angle was slightly different in each picture. After looking at each channel (red, green, and blue), I made some gamma and exposure adjustments and the face is clearer. The photo included here has been cropped to eliminate identifying information and images. It has also been edited somewhat to appear less disturbing. I can assure you that the actual photo is very unnerving! We are exploring one other possible natural explanation, although it is an extremely unlikely one. Check this blog for updates on this case. So, if we accept that the entity in this photograph cannot be explained logically, what is it? The first explanation to consider is that the photo shows a thoughtform. According to Wikipedia, a thoughtform is a manifestation of mental energy, also known as a 'tulpa' in Tibetan mysticism. The entry goes on to define the various categories as: (1) An image or images held in the mind of a practioner which aids in manifestation. (2) A living being created by humans. It could take the form of a type of helper or symbol. (3) Homunculi, part of cognitive philosphy and psychology theories, are perceived as different facets of the conscious self. They are constantly being created and may possess individual wills. This third type of thoughtform usually occurs spontaneously; for example, "group minds" can emerge during sporting events, political contests, or even among a group of employees working towards the same goal. These usually dissipate when the group disbands. Wikipedia (www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughtform) gives a number of examples of thoughtforms in popular culture, including an episode of the X-Files.The strength and clarity of the original thought determines the duration and strength of the resulting thoughtform. They may appear to be intelligent and independent. Stronger thoughtforms can overcome and disperse them or they may disintegrate when their purpose is accomplished. Some may stay in existence for years, while others can become uncontrollable and turn on their senders. Theosophists and clairvoyants Annie Besant and C.W. Leadbeater (late 1800s through early 1900s) categorized thoughtforms as follows: the image of the thinker, an image of a material object associated with the thought, and an independent image expressing the inherent qualities of the thought. Thoughts of a low nature, such as anger, hate, and greed, create unattractive thoughtforms, while thoughts of a higher nature will result in beautiful images. Basically, thoughtforms are nonphysical entities created from thought. Every thought supposedly generates vibrations in the aura and may take on forms or colors. Clairvoyants can sometimes see them and they can be sensed by all of us to different degrees. In order to be effective, thoughtforms are attracted to similar vibrations of people and places. For example, you can (consciously or unconsciously) create a positive or negative thoughtform. A positive thoughtform would involve working with energy to attempt to create a positive outcome, such as a successful job interview or an enjoyable vacation. A negative thoughtform could be used to attempt to attack someone, gain revenge, cause problems, manipulate others, etc. Most occult practioners steer well clear of negative thoughtforms and caution against ever consciously creating them. Besides being not very nice, the potential dangers to the sender are extremely serious. We suspect that negative thoughtforms may be part of an earlier "hostile" haunting we investigated in a Virginia home. The image in the photo could be, rather than a thoughtform, an elemental. Elementals are considered a lower type of nature spirit. Some are said to be deceitful or hateful towards human beings and enjoy inciting anger, encouraging reckless behavior, and causing all sorts of accidents and problems. They are often attracted to alcoholics and to drug addicts, although I am not implying that all alcoholics or drug addicts are evil, although they may be more 'open' to unhealthy influences. Elementals can appear spontaneously or be summoned through ritual and sent to others via psychic attack, although again most reputable occultists would never participate in this activity. The victim must be receptive to this type of energy through their own fear or negativity. Some writers describe the lower elementals as evil, while others consider them merely mischievous, and still others say they are a mix of both, described as "daimones" by the Greeks. They are sometimes classified as between angels and men and are thought to be able to materialize in either human or animal form. At this time, we're not certain what this image represents. We will continue testing and looking first for logical causes. We will only classify evidence as "paranormal" when all avenues have been explored and every imaginable natural explanation has been eliminated. This investigation remains ongoing

Geneticist Claims Humans Capable of Living Several Centuries

Cambridge University geneticist Aubrey de Grey has famously stated, “The first person to live to be 1,000 years old is certainly alive today …whether they realize it or not, barring accidents and suicide, most people now 40 years or younger can expect to live for centuries.”Perhaps de Gray is way too optimistic, but plenty of others have joined the search for a virtual fountain of youth. In fact, a growing number of scientists, doctors, geneticists and nanotech experts—many with impeccable academic credentials—are insisting that there is no hard reason why ageing can't be dramatically slowed or prevented altogether. Not only is it theoretically possible, they argue, but a scientifically achievable goal that can and should be reached in time to benefit those alive today.“I am working on immortality,” says Michael Rose, a professor of evolutionary biology at the University of California, Irvine, who has achieved breakthrough results extending the lives of fruit flies. “Twenty years ago the idea of postponing aging, let alone reversing it, was weird and off-the-wall. Today there are good reasons for thinking it is fundamentally possible.”Even the US government finds the field sufficiently promising to fund some of the research. Federal funding for “the biology of ageing”, excluding work on ageing-specific diseases like heart failure and cancer – has been running at about $2.4 billion a year, according to the National Institute of Ageing, part of the National Institutes of Health. So far, the most intriguing results have been spawned by the genetics labs of bigger universities, where anti-ageing scientists have found ways to extend live spans of a range of organisms—including mammals. But genetic research is not the only field that may hold the key to eternity.“There are many, many different components of ageing and we are chipping away at all of them,” said Robert Freitas at the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing, a non-profit, nanotech group in Palo Alto, California. “It will take time and, if you put it in terms of the big developments of modern technology, say the telephone, we are still about 10 years off from Alexander Graham Bell shouting to his assistant through that first device. Still, in the near future, say the next two to four decades, the disease of ageing will be cured.”But not everyone thinks ageing can or should be cured. Some say that humans weren't meant to live forever, regardless of whether or not we actually can. “I just don't think [immortality] is possible,” says Sherwin Nuland, a professor of surgery at the Yale School of Medicine. “Aubrey and the others who talk of greatly extending lifespan are oversimplifying the science and just don't understand the magnitude of the task. His plan will not succeed. Were it to do so, it would undermine what it means to be human.”It’s interesting that Nuland first says he doesn't think it will work but then adds that if it does, it will undermine humanity. So, which is it? Is it impossible, or are the skeptics just hoping it is? After all, we already have overpopulation, global warming, limited resources and other issues to deal with, so why compound the problem by adding immortality into the mix.But anti-ageing enthusiasts argue that as our perspectives change and science and technology advance exponentially, new solutions will emerge. Space colonization, for example, along with dramatically improved resource management, could resolve the concerns associated with long life. They reason that if the Universe goes on seemingly forever—much of it presumably unused—why not populate it? However, anti-ageing crusaders are coming up against an increasingly influential alliance of bioconservatives who want to restrict research seeking to “unnaturally” prolong life. Some of these individuals were influential in persuading President Bush in 2001 to restrict federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. They oppose the idea of life extension and anti-ageing research on ethical, moral and ecological grounds.Leon Kass, the former head of Bush's Council on Bioethics, insists that “the finitude of human life is a blessing for every human individual”. Bioethicist Daniel Callahan of the Garrison, New York-based Hastings Center, agrees: “There is no known social good coming from the conquest of death.”Maybe they're right, but then why do we as humans strive so hard to prolong our lives in the first place? Maybe growing old, getting sick and dying is just a natural, inevitable part of the circle of life, and we may as well accept it."But it's not inevitable, that's the point," de Grey says. "At the moment, we're stuck with this awful fatalism that we're all going to get old and sick and die painful deaths. There are a 100,000 people dying each day from age-related diseases. We can stop this carnage. It's simply a matter of deciding that's what we should be doing."One wonders what Methuselah would say about all this.

Two weeks ago, the serenity of Chicoana was disrupted when town residents reported a parade of lights in wonderful colors that appeared in the starry skies over the region before swiftly disappearing. The sighting would have remained merely an anecdote if it hadn’t been for the strange “drawings” in the wheat fields. From that moment onward, there was no stopping the curiosity seekers. Most residents appear sullen and respond negatively when asked if they saw something unusual, displaying shy smiles that betray the fact that they know more than they’re telling. The kids from the Maria Valdivieso School No. 588 had ringside seats for this display, as the building faces one of the three wheat fields that display the signs. Some of them were willing to talk and reportedly saw the UFO hovering directly over the field, and that it displayed lights of many colors. Fanny, one of the schoolteachers who acts as a substitute principal, hesitates to provide more information. But she slowly warms to the subject and says: “... I saw the lights, but you know where I saw them? Not in the field, but over there, in the back. One stands here at night and sees the road leading to Moldes. They weren’t car headlights because they were higher up. A group of 5 or 6 different lights of a strong reddish or orange hue. This was on Thursday night.”She adds that the first to spot the patterns in the wheat field was “...one of the schoolteachers who lives in Campo Alegre, in the roundabout on the entrance to Chicoana. He had been told on Wednesday that the Cadena wheat field – the one bordering the road - was in that condition. Then he came for a look much later but there was nothing to see. Next day, he reported to work, and upon arriving, he felt curious. He thought: this is also a wheat field. So we went for a look and that’s when we saw it (the agriglyph). We’ve been working at this school for 22 years and have never seen anything like it.” Along with another teacher who remained on duty on Wednesday night, Fanny adds that they were surprised for several day by the [behavior] of the local dogs. “... they barked by day and by night, making a tremendous racket.” This fact was also confirmed by another local resident who works at the school, and who adds that the children told her about some greenish lights, but she didn’t see them as she was engaged in her housework. There is a small house near the wheat field. Its owner tells us that the UFOs appeared several days in a row, between Tuesday the 23rd and Sunday the 26th and that his wife saw another on Thursday at 4:00 a.m. The girl who works at the bakery across the town square says that she saw nothing at all, but that the deliverymen did see “some powerful lights that vanished suddenly” Marco, who works for the town’s Tourism Office, says “over by the Villa Fanny school, the teachers took photos that show some black spots, like UFOs flying away. There are many who saw them but remain silent. Teachers, people in the area who were working the fields, and who don’t want to get into any trouble, or else be asked why the didn’t speak up sooner. People came from Buenos Aires to study the imprints. They took samples, but I don’t know what the outcome was... They say that when photos are taken, strange objects can be seen in the sky. If one walks through the wheat fields, they look like something heavy rested upon them without harming them. The wheat shoots are still green and yellow, unlike the paths left behind by curiosity seekers, where the wheat is squashed and dry. We don’t know about anything in nature that causes such marks. They resemble designs meant to be seen from above. As to whether or not they were UFOs...the reader should visit Chicoana, walk the wheat fields, take photos and draw his or her own conclusions.

They know something is going on inside the building that houses Ripley's Believe It or Not! -AND they intend to figure it out.The structure in which Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum is located in the Nation's Oldest City has not always been a Ripley's Believe It or Not!...believe it or not. The building, known as Castle Warden, was built in the 1800s and is long believed to be one of the most haunted structures in the southeastern United States.'There's definitely something in there,' said the lead investigator of a Port Charlotte, Fla. group known as the Peace River Ghost Trackers. 'And it's not very nice.' Known simply as Sprout, the investigator readily admits her group is excited, but that their 'knees are knocking' as they anticipate their big adventure at Castle Warden. That adventure takes place on Saturday night, November 22, when members bring their nerves and their hi-tech equipment for an overnight investigation of Castle Warden. Although the castle was abandoned for much of the Great Depression, it was renovated and turned into an exclusive hotel during the 1940s by Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings ('The Yearling' and 'Cross Creek') and her hotelier husband Norton Baskin. In 1944, two women died in a mysterious fire at the hotel and have reportedly appeared to hotel guests and Ripley employees on a regular basis during the years since. As a frequent visitor to St. Augustine, Robert Ripley was enamored with the castle and stayed at the hotel on several occasions, but it wasn't until a year after his death that his heirs purchased the property in 1950 and it became the first permanent collection of Ripley's oddities. While the investigation is closed to the general public, the results will be posted on www.peaceriverghosttracker.com.

The Apocalypse: More Pop Culture Than Reality?
The world has been ending for thousands of years. Early Christians believed the end would happen in their lifetime and that the Roman Empire represented the last gasp of humanity. As it turns out, it was one of the first gasps in the birth of the modern world in which we live. In the year 1000, medieval millenialists nervously wondered if the addition of a digit to the way we count our years would herald the end. It would seem it didn’t. A thousand years later people wondered if the change in that digit would result in a mass computer failure that would reverberate around the world and cause a major disruption of society to the point of the world regressing to the stone age. Didn’t quite happen that way. In fact, in the hundreds of millennial predictions, sects, and beliefs that have surfaced since the death of Christ, and before, not a single one has come to pass. The world may seem close to the abyss, but it never quite makes that last step needed to cross the edge. In fact, it often seems in hindsight that it was never on that last step at all, but more than a day’s walk away. Now we approach the next round of dire predictions. From the end of the Mayan Calendar in 2012, to the last Pope prophesized by St. Malachi to come after the current one, to religious-based predictions that the end must be near as the current state of affairs in the world must be omens signaling the end, we unfortunately will never have the answer until the world actually decides to take the last baby step off the cliff. Oddly, Nostradamus seems the odd man out in this orgy of prediction that seems to be gripping the world of those who study things paranormal. He doesn’t predict the end of the world until thousands of years from now, if ever. I can’t help but wonder why the end of the world preoccupies us so much. For all the predictions and doomsday talk, Chances are, we’ll never see it coming. It could come in the form of an asteroid impact, or even a supernova silently bombarding us with lethal doses of radiation. Or it could be one of the religious predictions that comes true, but in this case, it might not be such a good idea to try to read the mind of God and blow the big secret before the almighty has a chance to finish his plan. You might just invite his judgment for such a thing. I think the reason is psychological. Some need an order to dismiss the chaos of world affairs. It becomes comforting, perhaps, to see a great earthquake with a horrendous loss of life and see it in the context that it means something. We watch the economic troubles of today, and maybe it makes more sense for them to be part of the divine plan for the earth’s end, rather than mistakes stemming from greed and poor financial infrastructure. The problem is though, we’ve seen all of this before, and the first time around none of them turned out to be indicative of the end. In fact, the world has been in almost constant calamity for two thousand years, leading many to believe that the time in which they lived were the end times. For most of these people, it wasn’t.I can’t say for certain, nor can I say that I hope I’m wrong, but I think it would be prudent for all of us to take all the talk of the end being near with a grain of salt, especially as 2012 approaches, and those on the crazier end of the spectrum start thinking of making up a batch of koolaid. Chances are, these are not the end times, rather they are the times in which we live. When the end does truly come, whether its tomorrow or a thousand years from now, it will likely be inevitable and unchangeable by the time we know about it, and if it is divine in nature, we will be the last beings in the universe that can stop it. So why do we worry so?

Did magnetic waves from a visiting UFO warp, dent and wrinkle the side of a car heading east on Lake-Cook Road?It may be more likely that a deer did the damage. But local UFO enthusiasts are looking into the Nov. 4 event just to make sure, and are planning scientific tests on the car."What could have caused this?" Sam Matrano, Illinois director of the Mutual UFO Network, wants to know. The driver "was driving down the road at 40-45 mph and felt a little bump, but the damage to the car is really extensive. It must have been something powerful." Most of the driver's side of the 2008 Mitubishi sedan is caved in, but there's hardly a scratch in the paint. The side mirror hangs from its cables. The driver, a 21-year-old Northbrook Court employee, told Northbrook police she saw no cars around as she headed to the Edens Expressway at around 9:19 p.m. She only "felt a nudge against my car," according to the supplementary report she filed. Noting the missing mirror, she pulled over at Revere Drive and found the side of the car mangled. Last week, Matrano's organization posted pictures of the car on the National UFO Reporting Center Web site, www.nuforc.org, with the driver's explanation. The driver said police suspected she'd been sideswiped. But that seems unlikely given "The entire left side of my car appears to be scorched but no paint was removed," the driver is quoted as saying on the Web site. The item was posted again Nov. 10 on the Internet forum page for the Discovery Channels' "Mythbusters" show, where one wag wrote: "Sounds like someone was out doing something she wasn't supposed to, possibly with someone she wasn't supposed to be with, and concocted this silly story." Matrano said the driver no longer will talk about the incident publicly and doesn't want her name revealed. Matrano has heard claims of other-worldly encounters before. A Minnesota deputy sheriff he interviewed in 1979 said his patrol car was battered. "He said this ball of energy went through his windshield," Matrano said. "He felt like he was hit by a 200-pound pillow. "The clock in the car was 14 minutes slow." The clock in the Northbrook Court employee's Mitsubishi remained accurate, Matrano said, and there's no indication that something not of this earth had visited it. "I'm not looking to find an alien under every rock," he said. Still, he's intrigued. There's a deep dent in the pillar separating the windshield from the door frame, and it seems to fit the shape of the mirror. But the mirror is plastic, and the pillar is thick steel. That's like dropping an egg in a skillet and seeing the egg dent the pan, he said. Thursday night, he walked along the Lake-Cook Road median looking for mirror pieces, trying to establish that, at least, the driver was telling the truth about where the incident occurred. As six lanes of rush-hour traffic whizzed by, the Orland Park insurance salesman plucked a little triangular gasket off the concrete and rejoiced. The following day, he had confirmed it as coming from the mirror, he said. That morning, a manager of a body shop near the driver's Chicago apartment looked at the car. On first glance, "That's a sideswipe," Jimmy Cios, of Leo's Body Shop, said. Then Cios noticed there were no scratches or paint transfers, so he guessed someone had vandalized the car with something with no sharp edges. Finally, he settled on a deer collision. He figured the deer hit the car on an angle, and "sort of rolled along the side." Matrano favors the deer theory too, but isn't fully convinced because no blood or hair was found on the car. Marty Jones, head of the state Urban Deer Project since 1989, favors the deer theory as well. "If it was a glancing blow, it may not have even skinned the deer up, other than where it hit that mirror," he said. "The deer may have just run off, and it may be still running around. It's amazing what deer can sustain." Both Jones and Cios guessed the driver was on her cell phone Nov. 4, and the distraction caused her to miss seeing what hit the vehicle or feel the impact. "And if you're traveling in a 4,000-pound car and hit something that weighs 300," Cios said, "the thing you hit is going to feel it a lot more than you."

Rare Disorder Causes Woman to Speak in Foreign Accents
CindyLou Romberg sounds like she could be from any number of exotic countries around the world. She sometimes rolls her "R"s like a Russian, chops syllables like a German or turns an unsuspecting "W" into a "V," like a Swede. But Romberg is not Russian, German or Swedish. In fact, she has never even left her tiny hometown of Port Angeles, Wash. Romberg suffers from what doctors call Foreign Accent Syndrome, or FAS, an extremely rare brain disorder that, as the name implies, causes its sufferers to speak as if they are from a foreign country. The syndrome is likely related to an accident in 1981 when CindyLou suffered a depressed skull fracture after falling out of a moving truck, scientists say. She recovered from a severe brain injury, and spoke normally until just two years ago when she lost her voice for a couple of days after a visit with a chiropractor. When her voice came back, it was not the one she had grown up with. Along with the foreign accents, Romberg has also dealt with an inability to say the names of her loved ones, including her daughter, Sadrianna.

The Allen Telescope Array (ATA) has come online with its initial configuration of 42 antennas. The project, led by the SETI Institute, is a non-governmental project funded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in which eventually 350 small radio antennas will scan the sky for signs of extraterrestrial intelligence. To test the system, the ATA sucessfully picked up the New Horizons probe on its way to Pluto. Senior SETI scientist Seth Shostak said at an event in San Francisco Tuesday night that the array could become strong enough by 2025 to look deep enough into space to find extraterrestrial signals. "We'll find E.T. within two dozen years," he said. That's, of course, assuming the distance we can look into space will be increased with new instruments yet to be built, and that the projected computing power under Moore's Law actually happens.Shostak estimated that if the assumptions about computing power and the strength of forthcoming research instruments are correct, we should be able to search as far out as 500 light years into space by 2025, a distance he predicted would be enough–based on scientist Frank Drake's estimate of there being 10,000 civilizations in our galaxy alone capable of creating radio transmitters–to find evidence of intelligent life that is broadcasting its existence. For the New Horizons observation, made Sept. 10, operators of the ATA used a synthesized beam formed with 11 of the array’s 6.1-meter (20 foot) antennas – a method called “beamforming” that electronically combines the antennas into a single virtual telescope. The 8.4-GHz spacecraft carrier signal was then fed into the SETI Prelude detection system. “We’re happy to be the ATA’s new friend in the sky, helping SETI to verify the operations of their electronics,” says New Horizons Principal Investigator Alan Stern. “It’s also nice to know that someone else is checking in on us during our long voyage to Pluto and beyond.”

Video: The Ghost of Grimaldi's Grave
From Haunted Earth Paranormal Video Investigations, Joseph Grimaldi is regarded world-wide as the creator of the modern day Clown. He died in 1837, and is buried in an old churchyard renamed Grimaldi Park, Islington, London. What few people know is that he is alleged to actively haunt The Theatre Royal and Sadlers Wells.Would the spirit of Mr. Grimaldi speak to Haunted Earth?

A tourist snapped this photo during a ghost tour of Hobart's Franklin SquareFranklin Square, in Hobart's city centre, does not look like the kind of place one might expect to see a ghost. But ghost tour operator Adel Caridwen says that after dark, the pleasant little park takes on a much more sinister atmosphere. "There are ghosts everywhere and very few set themselves a time frame," Ms Caridwen said. "The reason people tend to usually see them at night is because that is when it is quiet enough for people to see, hear, smell all the unusual things going on around them." Her business, Ghost Tours of Hobart and Battery Point, includes Franklin Square on its evening rounds of haunted spots and Ms Caridwen said tour groups encountered something strange there almost every other night. Recently, one of the tour participants managed to snap an intriguing photo, shown here, of what appears to be a woman running past behind where the group was standing. "No matter where we stop in the park as a group, you will see the whole back row spin around because they hear someone running past behind them but they never see anything," Ms Caridwen said. "Occasionally people report feeling someone brushing past behind them on the way through but usually what we notice is the people at the back looking for the source of the footsteps." One night, about eight weeks ago, a tour group was standing near the giant chess board, facing the fountain, when those at the rear heard running footsteps behind them. One of the people in the group, a tourist from the mainland, had the presence of mind to point his mobile phone camera in the direction of the noise and take a photo. Those on the tour swear there was nobody else in the park at the time yet the grainy, motion-blurred photo appears to show the form of a woman rushing past. "Judging by the clothing, she was probably from some time in the mid-1800s, definitely female and to me it looks like she's got a basket or a baby swaddled on her hip, something like that," Ms Caridwen said. She said the photo was one of the best she had ever seen and she hoped it would eventually help unravel a little more of the mystery surrounding the running ghost so frequently heard in the area. Hobart paranormal researcher and Society of Anomalous Research Australia president Hannah Jenkins was more sceptical about the photo, saying that while it was an excellent image, there were several normal explanations that still needed to be discounted. "It must be remembered that this happened in a public square with bus stops nearby and people walking through at all hours of the day and night," Dr Jenkins said. "Even if the photographer was not consciously aware of people in the vicinity, there easily could have been someone walking past that they were not aware of." Franklin Square is the site of the original Government House in Hobart, before the current one was built at the Queen's Domain. The park's centrepiece, the statue of Sir John Franklin, was erected by the citizens of Hobart following the popular former governor and adventurer's death in 1847, during his ill-fated search for the North-West Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. With such a long and varied history the site is, perhaps unsurprisingly, reputed to be haunted by more ghosts than just the running woman. Ms Caridwen said other unusual phenomena had been captured in photographs taken in the park. "Another person on a tour took a photo of a really distinct cloud of something but, sadly, they never sent me a copy," she said. "It was just floating above the ground, one of the best ectoplasmic shots I've seen in ages." She said many visitors to Franklin Square at night reported an "off feeling" at the Treasury Building end of the park, around the chess board and wishing well. "When you consider how many working ladies earned their dollar in here, it was a rough enough existence and occasionally they would be found dead here and nobody would know who they were," Ms Caridwen said. "It's got a pretty grim feeling in here sometimes." For all its ghost stories dating from colonial times, Franklin Square might have one from a more contemporary period. "Maybe three times, walking through here, I've seen a man hanging from one of the trees," Ms Caridwen said. "I don't normally mention it on tours because I like to see if anyone else says they can see it first but a few other people have reported seeing the man in their peripheral vision as well. "I'm a bit loath to dig into those sorts of records, but I don't think it was that long ago because the man appears to be wearing jeans and a flannelette shirt." Macabre visions aside, Ms Caridwen said she still enjoyed taking tours through the park and spending time there. "I really like it in here, it's really rich, I think there are a lot of stories yet to unfold about this spot," she said.

Witness: Reported: 2008-11-16 Sighted: 2008-11-11 - LEWISVILLE, TEXAS On November 11, 2008 about 9:30 pm went to remove some items from car and saw this object streaking across sky, grabbed camera from glove box and clicked as fast I could for it was crossing sky so fast. It was moving east to west direction. As the object went across sky there was absolutely no sound what so ever. Only got five pictures but you can clearly see this object going east to west but it was extremely fast, I heard after the object was out of sight about three to four minutes, the sound of couple helicopters approach from easterly direction headed westward. Could not make out what kind they were other than they were large and black looking. This looks just like the craft in Stephenville, Texas two days later.

Hi Dave. I'm not sure if you remember me or not but, I used to go into your U.F.O. chatroom. Yesterday (10-29-08) , my nephew , who was working 15 miles from my house , called and told me about something strange going on near the sun. He told me to block out the sun and I would see for myself. I went outside and put the sun behind the eave of the house and sure enough, the were shiny , metallic looking balls flying around. Sometimes they were alone and sometimes there were groups of them . They would even be in formation. It was as if they couldn't be seen except when the sun would shine on them as they only stayed visible for a few seconds at a time. I also saw a couple of cylindrical objects with the balls. To top it off, there were single strands of what looked to be spider webs floating through the air. I Googled the spider webs and found that that could have been a natural phenomenon . All of this continued for several hours. They were first sighted at around 10:00 am and were still visible until about 3:00 pm. Any help you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Buck

Dear Mr. Garrison, Please share this link:

you know as crazy as this seems i get visited all the time i always wake up and the channel will be changed and at that exact time a ufo show will be on or something to do with the planets i got a paper to join a secret cult or group dont know if the sites i go on are being followed or tracked but i have a lot of weird stuff happen to me and my family my boys love aliens they are 3 and 4 i mean love them i personally believe they are the fallen angels and the eloheim of the bible i mean the good and the evil i seem to be getting visited by the evil ones dont know why since i have strong morals and a great character or backbone to say but i just thought you would like to know and maybe give me some suggestions of what to do me and my son this summer actually watched a craft follow us around town at 3 in the morning then right to our yard i know i seem crazy which is why i dont make police reports or tell family members i went to a pychatrist he said something was wrong with me and gave me medication i have taken none of it i am a sane man and i know what i see and experience i have heard nothing about December 21st 2012 but i have been forewarned that there precence will be made to us all in the next 2 to 3 years and from what i can derive from this is they will create a synthetic jesus and call him the second coming all people will believe he will perform miracles because the knowledge the evil ones have and will give the false prophet they then will have you take the mark or a chip in your hand or forehead those that dont will either perish or go to one of the 175 concentration camps in the united states right now the government made a pact with these aliens the evil ones and that is why the end is near but they the aliens will amass a huge army thinking the power of evil if attained in large numbers will beat the power of good god basically that will not happen the earth will be doomed but those that follow and believe in god shall be redeemed and forgiven and live in paradise which is earth we are gods only creation the fallen ones the aliens have made about 55 other species genetically but they have no souls such as we that's what they are trying to attain plus they cannot recreate there technology is not technology at all it is just knowledge which they do have an abundance of as for 2012 that might be a climactic year in the struggle of good against evil but other then that i have no real understanding of anything else pertaining to that as for niburu the fallen ones do call that home it will come back into orbit between mars and jupiter but what will happen maybe nothing maybe everything i know we are being watched after by the eloheim or the angels of god but they cannot interfere that was what jesus died for to save us and our sins if they came and did everything for us we could never be saved and therefore move to the next dimention they the evil ones have altered our dna about 40 times in the history of mankind they are the serpents of the bible if you would like to know more email me again or we could get together i dont know why and not to be full of myself but feel i have a deep purpose here on earth what it will be will be gods will not mine but i feel it is something my new son was just born 2 weeks ago and for some reason i called him jordan the river jesus was baptized in his middle name michael or the angel satan and last name gerstner mine but i dont know why or how we came up with the name but he got it anyway at 1 week old he crawled at 10 days he turned over his doctor said this is the earliest he ever saw a child do such things so i dont know i just know you are interested in these things and maybe can help me out till i hear from you
my next question where can you make donations to get this kind of thing studied more and brought to the forefront because the sad part about all of this is like anything else it takes money to get things accomplished that's how far down we have come as a civilavation i mean from what i have understood from the aliens we are nothing more then cattle but they will need us in the ultimate fight of good against evil they have no souls the evil ones and that's what they want from us they try to interbreed us but it always comes out more alien then human with no soul they dont understand they are evil and god will not give them a soul they die they perish that's it we die depending on this life you move to a higher dimension or a lower one or right back to this one the goal of the creator is for all of us to get to the 11th density he is on the twelth with just him and the 24 appointed ones but i have no doubt from here i am going to the 4th or 5th density take charles manson for instance if he falls back a density which he will he will go to the 2nd or 1st which is what we call hades or hell this density we all get a shot at from here is our choice go up or down but none of us go right to heaven from here that is the 11th density and that takes time but reicarnation you better beileve it and the aliens the evil ones are pissed because they know they die they are dead and there whole civilazation is dying and they know that to and they desperatly need a soul they gave us technology the government said you can experiment with human beings such is the pact made with the devil just always know what i already do no matter what happens stay on the side of good although it will be the hardest thing to do and you will live everlasting peace and love thank you again

Hi,

1st off I want to thank you for giving me your ear . I'm hoping some of it clicks true w/ you and I maybe can contribute to your site if you want. Not looking for any kudo's or credit I only want more people to see these things. I believe most christians today live in a bubble safley behind the four walls of the church practically oblivious to these things.
The gematria is "chaldean" and is A=6/B=12/C=18 etc. Matching numbers should "relate" to each other if the info. is true. And it does work out this way it seems. The single diget at the end is done by adding and down to single diget.
Example:
The Virgin Mary=1014=1+0+1+4=6
The Image of the Beast=1014=1+0+1+4=6
The Bride of Christ=1014=1+0+1+4=6

(The Virgin Mary) has been showing herself in many places these days.
(The Image of the Beast) has been showing herself in many places these days.
(The Bride of Christ) has been showing herself in many places these days.

And as I say, to match these numbers is NOT easily done. Out of 120 names and titles of Mary brought Not One match. Probably due to this being Catholic magic(k)ians verses Masons, wiccans, new age etc! They don't want it to be obvious.John tells us to "calculate" the name and number of the "Anti-christ", so I figured if it works there than maybe it also is true on 'The Image". And it turns out to be so!I use "this particular" system because it was used during Johns time and Witchcraft=666 in this system and the Word of God tells us that witchcraft is as adultry and an abomination to God.Sorceries also =666 as do many other things, and they all relate!

another example:
Mary=342=9
Moon=342=9

Both relate to "The Goddess" and curiously also, before they relized there were no lakes on the moon, they named approximatly 10 so called "lakes" on the moon each with the term "Mare" and also Parsons had a "crator" named after him also.

These occult groups (which are many) are obsessed with numerology and is how the work. The "magic(K)" doesn't work if they don't use these numbers appropriately, so the obscure it but always use them.666 upside down/sideways/mirrored it's almost always there!

"My personal opinion" on U.F.O.'s and such are that just as I believe ghost of "dead" relatives, saints or Mary are "deceptions" of (fallin') angels, also I believe the "aliens" are these "deceptive" angels also! As far as the dead...Gods tells us in His Word...The dead know nothing.....nor do they return to the living.....that they sleep in the grave until the ressurection of the dead. And I believe the TRUE Mary also awaits Jesus return, dead and in the grave!
I've NEVER seen a U.F.O. although I've looked allot of times. NEVER scene a Ghost, although I've looked much into these things, NEVER heard voices etc. Only the ONE time 16yrs ago after being so called "blessed" with "Our Lady's" tears!

I've talked to many wiccans and mystery religion's people and got much info. from the "white" ones, (although it's ALL from one source). And been "cursed" by a many "black ones". But after I figured out "how" their "magic(k) works and how "spells" work on our "psyche" I no-longer have ANY problem. I make sure I "understand" the "intent" in my "conscious" mind and eject the info. so as not to leave it to my "un-conscious" mind and "memory" to "program" my mind at night in dream sleep!
I am a songwriter also and was on The board of directors in a local musicians group. Music is ONE "vehicle" of many through the arts and media that use these tools to "spell" the young especially. The "art" of songwriting is called "The CRAFT" of songwriting.Songs are a BIG part of "spells" and "Magic(K)". Using "archutypes" and non-sense meanings to by-pass the conscious mind of the listener. Today "most" recording companys and producers are into the occult. Just as many wiccans sought "teaching" positions to make the most "change" in the young, generations of Magic(K)ians and wiccans and such sought these proffessions (publishers/Producers etc) to best make "change". You don't get signed today unless you talk the language and play the game!
Many songs are written (to) the (The goddess) as requested by her in Crowleys and others writings!
Example:
The Associations song- "Along comes Mary" or "Stairway to heaven" read the lyrics to just these two of many with "New" eyes! As I say, I was into the "Craft" of songwriting.....it is the way it works.
I tell you these things because I want it recorded "before" the "Warning" those who know about the time supposably to come with Mary/BabalonHecate/Isis/whatever flavor. Because "after"
this "Warning" that ALL in the world will see and hear as Our lady prophecises, there will be ALL kinds of explanations (LIES). I want it recorded now, so it will be received as Truth before hand instead of after-math! If I'm wrong no big deal, but if I'm right, and I believe I am (That Mary is the coming Image of the Beast), the TRUTH will be for-told. And I'm not claiming ANY "special" powers or a Prophet or what ever, it becomes easy to "predict" these things when you understand the goal!
Please read my full profile and in prayer ask The Holy Spirit to confirm or refute my words and thank you so much again for hearing me out! My opinion on "the Warning" is that it is what the occult call the "Awakening"/The Golden Dawn/ The Great Work etc, etc.Christians will WAKE up to a world that ...."Left them behind", the occult world salivates about this time, they are using "The Astrial Woman" to realise their dreams and means, and ultimatly God will have them (the occult) turn on her and devour her in the end. But the "awakening" will find....Your barber is a "magickian"/your mailman is a new ager/yourgrocer a sorcerer/your kids teachers wiccans/ "Left Behind" but not the "Rapture"! The "rabbit" thought he had it wrapped up and took a nap under "the tree" and little by little, step by step, slowly BUT surely the "turtle" passed the sleeping "rabbit"!
God Bless friend to God be ALL glory, in Jesus name, tim!

Submitted herein is this UFO sighting/alien encounter story which occurred here in Aguada, Puerto Rico (a U.S.territory). This alien encounter and subsequent abduction was reported to several UFO/extraterrestrial investigator websites. However, it was so frightening that it reminded me of the "Amityville Horror" story. We had to abandon our house to move away from that rainforest after we bought it in August 2005. And recently sold the house because no investigator came to help us. We moved to another house away from the beach and that rainforest, and recently sold the house. The following 11 paragraphs were reported, however, included after that are additional occurrences that were not reported to any other websites before and which occurred after May 1, 2006. On November 10, 2005, at approximately 3:00am, my daughter and I heard a weird humming sound like a hurricane wind going by the house. The sound was so strange that penetrated our ears. When my daughter and I looked outside, we observed what appeared to be a disc-shaped object moving westward towards the rear of the house where an enormous rainforest and a huge antenna are located and which leads all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The disc was silver in color with a row of windows around it and had a greenish haze or aura covering the craft. All the windows appeared to be a darker greenish color. The craft appeared to be descending as though it was about to land somewhere behind the house. We lived in Brooklyn, New York near Kennedy Airport for over 20 years and the airplanes flew low over my house 24 hours a day. I know what we have seen and the sound it made were something very unusual, something we've never heard or seen before. After that, my daughter and I heard the same sound at least twice a week. I used to go to sleep at 3:00am watching (Novelas) Spanish soap operas.

On Friday, April 28, 2006, at approximately 3:00am, I heard again the same sound going by my house. At about 10 or 15 minutes later I heard my dog (Dora) barking continuously in the backyard. When I went to investigate by turning on the backyard light (the light in the house was off) and by looking through my dining room window, I observed my dog lying on her back with her 4 legs up apparently unconscious. The dog was chained to a metal pole next to the back fence which separates my property with the rainforest in the back. I called her name, "Dora, Dora, what's wrong Dora?", but she did not respond. When I lifted my eyes and looked at the back fence, which is about 25 feet from where I was standing, I observed two creatures (extraterrestrials) standing close to and behind the chain-link fence looking at me. One of the aliens was about 3 feet from the dog and the other alien was about 5 feet away from the other alien. They were about 3 and a half feet tall with a large oval head and big black slanted eyes. They had pale grayish skin and a barely visible slit for a mouth and two little holes for a nose. They also had very skinny arms and they seem not to have any clothes on. Their legs were not showing because under the fence there was a cinder-block wall about one and a half feet high. I could only see them from the waist up. The aliens were staring at me and I was staring at them. I think that they were communicating with me telepathically because they were reading my mind when I said mentally, "I'm going to wake up my husband, Nelson," I left the window and walked through the hallway leading to the bedrooms. On the way to wake up my husband, they detoured me to the other bedroom to wake up my daughter instead. I woke up my daughter (17 year old at the time) and both of us went to the dining room window where we observed the creatures still standing in the same place. Again, they stared at us and we stared straight into their large black eyes for a while. My daughter said to me, "Mommy, I'm going back to bed because I'm scared, then I won't be able to sleep." I then followed my daughter to the bedroom because she was afraid to go by herself. Approximately 10 minutes later I returned to the dining room window, the aliens were still there in the same location. While staring straight into their big black eyes, the one closest to the dog was telling me in my mind to open the door leading to the backyard. I said in my mind, "I'm not going to open the door." He demanded telepathically, "You're going to open the door." I then felt myself moving towards the door and was getting drowsy.

I don't remember what happened after that, I woke up in my bed. I asked my daughter if she had seen the same thing in case I was imagining things. She described the incident and the creatures the same way and manner I described them. We then told my husband who slept in a separate bedroom facing the backyard. He slept there because my daughter was afraid to sleep by herself so I had to sleep with her. My husband stated that he did hear the dog barking wildly at about 3:00am. He said that he looked out the bedroom window, without getting off the bed, since the bed was against the window. He saw the dog barking towards the rainforest in the back, but thought that she was barking at a cat. He stated that he did not look at the fence or the rainforest and was so sleepy that he immediately went back to sleep. Please be advised that behind the back fence, where the aliens were, is an enormous rainforest that leads all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, where a huge antenna is located and is pitch black at night. I later found out that the antenna and the land where it sits are federal property owned and the area is fenced in.What concerns me the most is that my husband informed me that he discovered the back door opened when he got up at about 8:00 in the morning, but did not know what happened. My daughter informed me that she opened her eyes about 5:00 in the morning and did not find me next to her in bed. She thought I was in the bathroom or somewhere around the house and went back to sleep. The dog did not want to eat or drink anything for days and was lying down apparently sick.

On Monday, May 1, 2006, at about 12:50am, while sitting in the living room and while talking on the phone, I saw a bright light, like an enormous light bulb, moving through the woods (the rainforest). I informed my husband and we immediately closed all the louver windows in the kitchen and dining room. I became hysterical and began to cry because I thought that they were after me and my husband had to calm me down. At approximately 2:00am, the same night, I heard the same sound again over the house. Seconds later, while lying in bed, my husband and I heard a loud crashing noise like something hitting the flat concrete roof and shook the house like if something had landed there. We were afraid, but did not call the police for fear of being ridiculed and not come to investigate. It was such a terrifying experience that we didn't even considered to go outside and check it out. Instead the three of us huddled in one bed.

I feel relieved to know that I was not the only one seeing those alien beings. My 17 year old daughter saw them too. Otherwise I, myself, would think that I was hallucinating and imagining things. Could it be possible that I did open the backyard door and was abducted by the aliens? I don't know, my husband found the back door opened early in the morning. In addition, I have dotted puncture marks on my left hand which is circular and had a slight burning pain which diminished as time went by since April 28, 2006. Although faded it is still visible, especially when observed in person, after almost 2 and a half years. Please see enclosed pictures and drawings. We moved from New York City and bought that house in August 2005 when my husband retired as an Assistant Deputy Warden after working for 20 years for the New York City Department of Correction (Riker's Island jail complex) and after getting a heart attack. I am a serious woman who doesn't like to lie. I never thought that we would go through something like that. But what my daughter and I saw and what my husband and I heard is the truth. Never in my life did I believe in UFOs or aliens. I never cared, seen, read or even heard anything about how they look like until we witnessed the unexplained here on the island. We moved to another house that we own in Aguada which is pretty far from the beach and that rainforest. And my daughter was so traumatized that we sent her to live with my sister in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Since we sold that house now we're planning to sell the other one to return to the U.S. mainland because I fear they're after me.Several days after our encounter with the alien beings, on May 9, 2006, at approximately 1:00pm, we went to see Mr. Luis A. Echevarria, the mayor of Aguada. We were informed that he was not at City Hall, but attending a meeting in San Juan. We instead notified Mr. Martin Concepcion, who works for Puerto Rico's Civil Defense Agency in Aguada, and handed him a written copy of the incident. He stated that he will investigate, will put a request to the Municipal Police to patrol the area and will make a copy for the mayor. He also stated that he will get back to us, but he never did.On May 11, 2006, at approximately 11:00am, we went to the channel 5 television network located in the city of Mayaguez. At the television network, we were interviewed by a young man who stated that here in Puerto Rico people are superstitious or when they report that they saw a UFO/extraterrestrial it is later dismissed as a hoax. My husband and I were so upset, we told him that we are "Nuyoricans" therefore not superstitious and just because someone lied, doesn't mean that we are liars. We even sent emails to several Puerto Rican UFO investigative organizations, but they didn't email us back. We did not know who to turn to since we were not getting help from anyone here on the island. So my husband and I started sending emails to the U.S. mainland to see whether someone or some organization would help us. We are not seeking publicity but the truth. Please note the following other incidents which were not reported to anyone before:On June 5, 2006, at approximately 3:00am, after watching television, I proceeded to the kitchen to get a glass of milk before going to bed. As I walked through the living room on my way to the bedroom, I observed an alien peeping through the glass-pane window on the main entrance door. Outside that door is a balcony and obviously, he was standing on top of a patio chair next to the door, because being a short creature, he shouldn't reach the high window on the door. This one really scared me a lot because he looked older, meaner and had a mark on his forehead. The two aliens I saw behind the fence in my backyard looked like little kids with a serene look on their face. But not this one, he had a sinister evil look on his face. I hurried to my husband's bedroom, woke him up and he grabbed a machete in case it was an intruder, and proceeded out to the balcony, but no one was around. Could this alien be their leader? On October 22, 2006, at approximately 11:00pm there was a 3 hour blackout in the town of Aguada (which is located in the northwest corner of the island). At approximately 1200am, I awoke my husband so he could hear a weird humming sound coming from behind the house in the rainforest. The whole backyard surrounding was pitch black when we went out with flashlights to listen closely. I called my sister on the cellphone so she could hear the weird sound coming from the woods, but suddenly we got frightened and hurried back inside the house. On February 25, 2007, at approximately 4:00am, I was in my bedroom which faced the front of the house. I looked through the window and observed a disc-shaped craft, similar to the one my daughter and I saw previously, hovering motionless about 40 meters from the house and about 40 meters from the ground. The craft was about 30 feet in diameter. It was so low and so close that I was able to observe curious extraterrestrials watching me and the house through viewing ports surrounding the craft. They were silhouetting through the bright greenish blue background and appeared very inquisitive looking out the windows and passing a long rod to one another. My immediate reaction at the moment was that it may have been a telescope or some other device. Unlike the others I've seen and heard, this craft was hovering silently. The whole event probably lasted about a minute. I ran to my husband bedroom and woke him up. He immediately grabbed the camcorder next to his bed. Unfortunately by the time we got to the window, the UFO was nowhere in sight. On May 21, 2007, at approximately 1:00am my daughter, Barbie, was on her cellphone in the living room by herself talking to her friends in New York. The lights in the living room were off except for a dim light on a table lamp. Suddenly she heard the humming sound again and a greenish blue light flashing through all the windows. The light flashed in sequence starting from the front windows to the back windows. It looked like something had flown low by heading towards the back of the house. My daughter screamed and ran to the bedroom where she was shaking in fear. It may have been nothing, but it showed that she was traumatized after what she had seen on November 10, 2005 and April 28, 2006.My 21 year old son, Jonathan, came to visit us from New York. On June 2, 2007, at approximately 2:00am, Jonathan explained that while in his bedroom, which is located downstairs, a very bright beam of green light shone through the window and through the glass-pane door lighting up the whole bedroom for a few seconds. He was so frightened that after the light vanished he hysterically ran upstairs in his pajamas to inform us. He refused to sleep in that bedroom again. On August 14, 2007, early in the morning, we noticed that our dog, Dora, was gone. We do not know if she had come loose and ran away. We do have a high fence that goes around our property and the dog was kept chained overnight, so I don't see how that's possible. We looked all over our neighborhood, we asked our neighbors if they had seen her and we even searched throughout the town of Aguada, but to no avail. I do not know if it had something to do with those aliens, but after what happened to me and my family in that house, anything for me is possible.
In this house where we live now, on November 3, 2007, at approximately 2:00am, while in bed before I fell asleep, I saw a small blueish green neon light, about the size of a penny, coming from the window, moving through the bedroom in the dark and I was being paralyzed while looking at it. Suddenly my bed was being surrounded with those creatures. Obviously, I was made unconscious because when I opened my eyes I found myself naked in a different cold room and lying face-up on very cold "stainless steel" platform. This platform seem to be floating on the air without legs or anything supporting it. It was narrow enough that each arm hanged on each side. Still feeling paralyzed but conscious they commenced injecting me with a long needle or something. I begged them with my thoughts, to please not to do it, but they ignored me. I also felt that they put something metallic, like a round suction cup about 5 inches in diameter, on the right side of my abdomen. It felt like my flesh was being stretched and my inside was being sucked out like a powerful vacuum. I was in excruciating pain when they did that, but I was unable to scream or move. About 5 or 6 creatures surrounded the platform, one being taller than the others and the rest were the short grays I previously saw in my backyard. This time they were not communicating telepathically among themselves because I heard a weird incoherent mumbling sound coming from them. However, I didn't see their mouths move. I remember calling them "marcianos" (Martians), they revealed telepathically, in Spanish, that they don't like being called Martians, but preferred to be called creatures. When I got up the next morning, I still had pain on the right side of my abdomen, but no mark was visible. Since my daughter doesn't sleep with me anymore because she now lives in Pennsylvania, I now sleep with my husband. He keeps telling me to wake him up when it happens, but I could not move or speak. Many times he stays awake late at night in bed, but nothing happens so he falls asleep. I do, however, feel or have a sense when they're around.
It is important to be noted here that I've had ovarian cancer, and have had several operations to remove parts of my intestine. I also received several operations for breast cancer. I flew occasionally to New York City to see my private doctors since here on the island private doctors are reluctant to accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield or GHI which I got from my husband retirement. I was informed by my doctors in New York that the cancer had returned and that I urgently needed another operation. I used to be in constant stomach pain and noticed blood in my stool and urine when I went to the bathroom. It was not the first time, the cancer has recurred before and they operated me after each recurrences. But after the encounter with those creatures on April 28, 2006, I returned to New York, several tests were performed and no cancer was detected. The pain and the bleeding had stopped. I truly feel that those creatures had cured me. What is my opinion of the creatures? They could be benevolent and compassionate creatures, but I'm afraid of them. They do not have my permission to do with my body whatever they please. Although I believe they had cured me, I am not their guinea pig.I have something in my right lower back that has been bugging me for a long time. It moves when I touch it and I know it was not there before. I saw on the History Channel the program called UFO Hunter when Mr. Bill Birnes took a man who was abducted by a UFO to Dr. Roger Leir. The man had an alien implant in his leg. When Dr. Leir put a powerful magnet where the man had the implant, to our amazement, the object inside his flesh moved towards the magnet and the skin bulged. Like that man, I don't have an entry wound or a scar where the object is. That prompted me and my husband to do the same experiment. Unfortunately, we do not have a powerful magnet like the one used by Dr. Leir. The mark on my left hand and the object on my back have been noticed by me since my encounter with those aliens on April 28, 2006. We recently learned that here in Puerto Rico this type of phenomenon occurs all over the island, especially in El Yunque rainforest where people get lost for days and come back with incredible stories. El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System. Could there be an extraterrestrial base in the El Yunque rainforest? Could there be an extraterrestrial base in the woods behind my property or somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean? Since the town of Aguada is situated in the northwest corner of the island, could that be a route for UFOs to fly towards the Bermuda Triangle? My daughter and I did hear a weird humming sound very often and very close to the house. The craft we observed on November 10, 2005 appeared to be descending as though it was about to land somewhere behind my house. Let me reiterate, we lived in Brooklyn, New York near Kennedy Airport for over 20 years and the airplanes flew low over my house 24 hours a day. I know what we have seen and the sound it made were something very unusual, something we've never heard or seen before.I have tried to write a thorough and detailed story to focus attention on what my family and I went through in that house and to demonstrate our reason for moving and for subsequently selling the house. What happened to me and my family was no hoax, it was a terrifying experience. To prove this, I am willing to submit to a polygraph test, go under hypnosis, be under oath or whatever. I sincerely say thank you for reading this long written story and hope for your understanding.

Hi, Dave-Just a MUFON member here from WNY-Buffalo, a long ways away from your neck of the woods'..as they say.! I joined in 2007. When I sought-once again..a more scientific investigation into my own UFO encounter/missing time experience in 1968 in CNY.Very interesting photos, sketches, artwork, etc;..I truly found it all very awesome! Thanks for sharing.! I really found it deeply moving to view all this..I am, I found out- quite by accident-when some friends visited Roswell UFO Museum..the only abductee featured in New York, on their UFO abductee map at the museum! Prof. Haseley-director here of MUFON-told me that on a visit to Roswell last year!My case was first investigated by an head investigator/director in NJ who was a member of Jaques Vallee organization, known as 'Contact International, in the 1970's. I subsequently was interviewed, hynotized and my story included in a book by Hans Holzer called "TheUfonauts"..came out in 1975.I was however-not at all happy about the regression-felt I'd been led, controlled by Prof. Holzer-only to achieve what HE wanted in his chapter to sell his book. I did not remember all he claims I told him and that he put in his book. My missing time on my encounter continued as did my dreams about the encounter. I felt no peace. If you now 'Google" my name..Shane Kurz(at the time)..you will find my UFO experience mentioned on many websites!I finally decided to reopen my case and became friendly in the 90's with Dr. Berthold Schwarz in Florida. His advice-after going over all my encounter experience/missing time..was to let it come out naturally..as it was so traumatic/affected me so...in hypnosis/regressions. I took his advice-but no more relief from my amnesia/missing time on the 1968 event came out. Finally, I came upon MUFON in 2007. I found out about the local WNY chapter here and sought out the help and investigations done through Dr. Phil Haseley-their district leader/investigator. My case was investigated by 3 MUFON investigators. Unfortunately, not much could be verified by now-as most witnesses's-exception-my sister--Pam, are no longer alive, or have lost touch with.In the course of my association however with MUFON here-just talking about my experience to the group, going to a recent Abduction conference and reading books of that nature with the group-have helpedin bringing to light-much of my missing time associated with my encounter.!It has helped me finally come to terms with what I went through-alone-that night of May 2nd/early morning of May 3rd, 1968, in Westmoreland, NY.MUFON and it's members. Prof. Haseley's guidance has been of invaluable comfort and help.!Long story short-sorry to take up your time on this..I am finally coming to some peace and some closure re: my UFO encounter-though the why's? of it all-remain with me.Thank you for sharing your own history of your own abduction experiences! It is very courageous I feel of you to do this! Makes those like myself-realize we are far from being alone in our very unique and hard to prove experience we've had-and our personal quests to understand it and make sense of it overall.!I am a business owner-my husband and I have a business here in Medina,NY. We have one son, married, who's serving as a Sergeant in the USAF-Intel division, since 2003. Is now currently stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB. He's served in Afghanistan and expects to be deployed in near future to Iraq.My childhood history is all Air Force brat. My Dad, step dad were both AF veterans/career men. My husband was an AF vet. My mother-a civilian employee at Griffiss AFB, Rome, NY where my Dad/husband were once stationed. So, as an observer of this UFO in 1968-I can definitely tell you-from growing up on bases from San Bernardino, to Colorado- to Griffiss..I have no doubt that what I encountered was NOT a military aircraft!Thank you for your time and listening and thanks again for your time/efforts spenton your website...and sharing with people of like-mind and experiences.!Blessings and take care,Shane

Dave...hope you are feeling well enough to pass this along. The alien children got a message through to me via the chip in my head. Long story. Anyway the aliens have been here drilling oil for centuries. They are making high powered rocket fuel out of it. Never imagined they needed oil. That's what the fight is really about. You can see where this is going. All they need do is play "God" to us and we fight....enough said. We weren't in the way until recently. We started using up the oil reserves. We are in the way of things. Really bad for us. I know people think I'm crazy but there seems to be more to it. Take it into consideration. That's all I know.
Take care Dave
